Richard Williams - Dudley Road, Winson Green: Richard Williams was beaten to death whilst sheltering in a bus stop, near the junction of Barford Road and Dudley Road, in Winson Green on 30 December 2011. He was a homeless man and was hit in the head five or six times just after midnight.
John Lee Barrett - Sinclairs Bar, Drake Street, Rochdale : John Lee Barrett was stabbed at a Christmas Eve party at Sinclair's Bar and nightclub on Drake Street, Rochdale at around 2.40am on 25 December 2011 and died two days later. Twelve people in 2013 were convicted for lesser offences but no one was convicted of his murder. Six men were initially charged with his murder but acquitted although convicted of lesser offences whilst six other men were charged with lesser offences, but not murder, and also convicted. It was heard that the man that had stabbed John Barrett could not be identified.
Liam Mearns - Wellesley Road, Clacton, Essex : Liam Mearns was stabbed outside an off-licence in Wellesley Road, Clacton on 13 December 2011. However, his death was later ruled as not unlawful, with the Coroner saying that there was not enough evidence to conclude that it was and an open verdict was returned.
Justin Hague - Godric Drive, Brinsworth, Rotherham: Justin Hague was stabbed during a disturbance in Godric Drive, Brinsworth, Rotherham on 3 December 2011. The police were called out at about 10pm to find Justin Hague suffering from knife wounds.
Azezaur Khan - Forest Hill Road, East Dulwich: Azezaur Khan was shot shortly after going to a funeral service of a friend at the Camberwell Old Cemetery in Forest Hill Road, East Dulwich on 3 November 2011. He had been walking along Forest Hill Road for the burial around 3pm when he was shot several times near Rockells Place. He was pronounced dead at the scene after having been hit in the stomach.
Kamlesh Ruparelia - White Rose Pub, Handsworth Road, Sheffield: Kamlesh Ruparelia was punched in the face in the White Rose Pub on Handsworth Road, Sheffield on 28 October 2010 at around 10pm and died four days later on 1 November 2011. A man was charged with manslaughter but the prosecution offered no evidence and the case was dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service who said there was no realistic prospect of a conviction after new evidence was found that undermined their case and the man was found not guilty.
Akilakumar Kanthasamy - New Horizon Community Centre, South Lodge Avenue, Pollards Hill, Mitcham: Akilakumar Kanthasamy was stabbed in the rear car park of the New Horizon Community Centre in Pollards Hill on 22 October 2011. He had been stabbed through the heart and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was then taken to St George's Hospital in Tooting, south-west London where his post-mortem examination was carried out.
Isobel June Dobson - Hessle Farm, Wragby, Wakefield: Isobel June Dobson died in a fire in a van that had been next to a barn that had caught fire at Hessle Farm, Wragby on 30 September 2011. Her cause of death was given as being due to the effects of smoke and fire.
Lewis Ghessen - Harrow and Wealdstone Station: Lewis Ghessen was run over by a train whilst trying to escape from some muggers at Harrow and Wealdstone station on 25 September 2011. Two teenagers were tried for his manslaughter but acquitted because the evidence against them was too weak. It was said that they had chased Lewis Ghessen from the High Street after seeing him with two mobile phones and that Lewis Ghessen had then run into Harrow and Wealdstone Station and on to the tracks to escape them.
Lee Erdmann - The Wellington Pub, Regent Road, Ordsall: Lee Erdmann was shot dead in The Wellington pub on Regent Road, Ordsall, on 10 September 2011 by a man that he had been chatting with at the bar. He had been talking to the man at the bar for about 30 minutes and then at about 2.50am when Lee Erdmann went to the gents the man shot him twice. It was thought that whilst talking to Lee Erdmann the man had been using his mobile phone to text messages to someone asking them to bring him a gun.
Alisa Dmitrijeva - Sandringham Estate, Anmer, Norfolk : Alisa Dmitrijeva was found dead on the Queen's Sandringham Estate in Norfolk on 1 January 2012. She went missing in September 2011 from her home in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire.
Stewart McGowan - Burnsall Croft, Armley: Stewart McGowan was stabbed at flats in Burnsall Croft, Armley on 30 August 2011. A 44-year-old man was charged with his murder, but nothing more is known.
Tommie Warde - Star Lane, St Mary Cray, Orpington: Tommie Warde died after being hit in the head with a piece of wood whilst riding as a pillion passenger on an off-road bike in Star Lane, St Mary Cray. A teenager was charged with his murder but his trial at the Old Bailey was later discontinued and the teenager was cleared after the judge ruled that there was insufficient evidence and that there was no case for the defence to answer. It was also heard that evidence given by the driver of the motorbike was contradictory and that it conflicted with the medical evidence which said that the piece of wood had penetrated too far for it to have simply been thrown. The judge said 'It would not be safe or fair to allow the matter to proceed any further'.
The Birmingham Riot Deaths - Dudley Road, Winson Green, Birmingham: Haroon Jahan, Shazad Ali and Abdul Musavir were hit by a car during riots in Birmingham in the early hours of 10 August 2011. They had been stood in the street when a car drove at them, hitting them and sending them flying three metres in to the air. They were taken to hospital where they all later died from their injuries.
Trevor Ellis - Duppas Hill Road, Croydon: Trevor Ellis was shot in the head during riots in London whilst sat in a car on Duppas Hill Road in Croydon on 8 August 2011 at around 9.20pm. He had earlier been sat in a black Ford Fiesta car parked in Scarbrook Road with his friends when they had a row with a group of about nine looters. There was then a high-speed car chase, but two cars, a Silver Peugeot 308 and a black Vauxhall Astra boxed the black Ford Fiesta car in on Duppas Hill Road and two men got out of the black Vauxhall Astra with a gun and one of them, described as a black man, fired twice into the car hitting Trevor Ellis in the head and leg.
Benjamin Benit - Ilderton Road, Tustin Estate, South Bermondsey: The remains of Benjamin Benit were found in Lovelinch Close on the Tustin Estate in South Bermondsey with other parts of his body later found at his flat nearby in Hevesham House, Ilderton Road. Parts of his body were found wrapped up in a sheet dumped in Lovelinch Close. When the police investigated they went back to his flat in Ilderton Road where the rest of his remains were found. It was thought that he might have died anything up to six years earlier when he was last seen and kept at the house for some years before parts were dumped in the street.
Stuart Horsman - Winchester Railway Station, Winchester: Stuart Horsman died in hospital a week after he was assaulted. He was taken ill at Winchester Railway Station on Wednesday 3 August 2011 and taken to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital where he died later the same day.
Karoly Varga - Cannon Street, Wellingborough, Northamptonshire: Karoly Varga was killed at his home in Cannon Street, Wellingborough with an axe-like weapon. He was found at his home by his daughter on 30 July 2011 shortly before midday, dead, with head injuries probably inflicted with a bladed weapon. He had been struck with it 14 times to the back of the head with severe force. The weapon was said to have been about 7cm long and 0.5cm wide.
Vitalijs Janovics - Bermondsey Wall East, Bermondsey, London: Vitalijs Janovics was stabbed in the heart near to the Thames Path and Bermondsey Wall East or Jamaica Road in Bermondsey in the early hours of 22 July 2011. Two men were charged for his murder and tried at the Old Bailey but acquitted. Their case was dropped after the prosecution stated that there was no longer a reasonable prospect of conviction.
Kye Kerr - Meadow View, Harraby, Carlisle : Kye Kerr died from a heart attack and a fractured skull at his home in Meadow View, Harraby, Carlisle, on 11 July 2011. His 33-year-old father was tried for his manslaughter at Liverpool Crown Court but was acquitted. However, it was noted that he was determined at a lower court to have been responsible for his death, it being noted that the lower court, a family court inquiry, was not required to make its findings beyond all reasonable doubt, but only on the balance of probabilities.
Anthony Joseph Ryan - Abingdon Close, Whitefield: Anthony Joseph Ryan died after being assaulted at his home in Abingdon Close, Whitefield. His 27-year-old neighbour was arrested for his murder but there are no known charges, trials or convictions.
Andrew Isles - Enfield: Andrew Isles died in Enfield, north London. His death was flagged as undetected by the Metropolitan Police and later described as unexplained.
Sandy Ingram - Elrick House, Newmachar, Aberdeenshire : Sandy Ingram was found with head injuries at his farm in Newmachar on 19 June 2010. He later died on 2 June 2011. He had gone out at his farm to investigate two prowlers.
Aaron McQueen Williams - A40, Chiswick: Aaron McQueen Williams died after falling out or being thrown from a moving car on the A40. He was found on 27 May 2011 at around 12.20am in the road on the A40, eastbound, near the Hoover Building and the junction with Hangar Lane. He was taken to hospital but was later pronounced dead at 7am after doctors struggled for six hours to save his life.
Scott Anthony Fletcher - A181, Wheatley Hill, Durham: Scott Fletcher was last seen on 11 May 2011 in a lay-by opposite the Jet garage on the A181 at Wheatley Hill, near Durham. In December 2015 his disappearance was treated as a murder inquiry and police arrested seven men on suspicion of conspiracy to murder although they were all released without charge.
Randy Oswi-Boateng - Lakeside Road, Shepherds Bush, West London: Randy Oswi-Boateng was shot as he got into his car at around 4.10pm on 9 May 2011. He was shot twice in the chest and pronounced dead at the scene.
Wayne Stockdale - Rounton Road, Bromley-by-Bow: Wayne Stockdale was shot in the head while riding his bike through an underpass at a block of flats. He was shot at 10.20pm on Friday 6 May 2011 in an underpass near a block of flats on Rounton Road near the junction with Knapp Road as he rode along on his bicycle, just over from Devons Road. Two men had got out of a vehicle and shot him. The men then went off towards a parade of shops in Devons Road where they fired some more shots at a group of people that were standing outside. They then ran back to the junction at Knapp Road and got back in the car and drove off.
Adeniyi Lateef Shode - Rowdell Road, Northolt: Adeniyi Lateef Shode was stabbed in Rowdell Road, Northolt on 2 May 2011. He had been stabbed in Rowdell Road at the junction with Ealing Road and Kensington Road.
Baby - Associated Waste Management, Shipley: The body of a newly-born female child was found on a conveyor line at the Associated Waste Management plant in Valley Road, Shipley on 1 May 2011. The cause of death could not be determined, nor could it be determined whether the child had lived or died, but it was found that the child had probably died about three days before it was found.
Damian Chlywka - 11a Audley Drive, Warlingham: Damian Chlywka was found dead at the bottom of a well at a house in Warlingham on 15 November 2013 by gardeners at 3.50pm. He had been reported missing on 19 April 2011.
Kelvin Easton - Boheme Nightclub, 562a Mile End Road, Bow: Kelvin Easton was killed in the Boheme nightclub on Mile End Road, Bow, in March 2011. A man was tried but acquitted.
Wlodzimierz Janusz Szymanski - Chandos Road, Willesden: Wlodzimierz Szymanski was found dead at his home in Chandos Road, Willesden. He died from a broken neck. He also had head injuries. His death was initially described as suspicious.
Ronald Constantine Cheese - Austin Road, Handsworth, West Midlands: Ronald Constantine Cheese was stabbed to death at his flat in Austin Road, Handsworth on 27 February 2011. The police were called to his flat after neighbours became worried that they had not seen him for a while. He was found at about 1pm on 27 February 2011.
Lee Duncan - Lauriston Place, Tollcross, Edinburgh: Lee Duncan was beaten to death with a claw hammer in his flat in Lauriston Place, Tollcross on 25 February 2011. He had 15 injuries to his head and face consistent with blows from a hammer. Some of the injuries had been inflicted with the claw end of the hammer.
Sam Guidera - Bailey Place, Sydenham, London, SE26: Sam Guidera was stabbed in the heart in Bailey Place, London, at around 9.55pm, 200 metres from Penge East station. He was taken to King’s College Hospital but died 25 minutes later at 10.55pm. He had suffered a single stab wound to the heart.
Ramnit Chander - Sussex Road, Southall, West London: Ramnit Chander was found dead at his flat in Southall on 10 February 2011. A man was arrested for his murder but there are no known charges, trials or convictions.
Joseph Cummins - Longmoor Lane, Fazakerley: Joseph Cummins was shot outside his grandmother’s place in Longmoor Lane, Fazakerley where he lived at 9pm on 20 January 2011. He was taken to hospital where he later died.
Lana Purcell - Wellesley Road, Kentish Town, London: Lana Purcell went missing. She had had a 6-year-old daughter at the time.
Edward Francis Pybis - Utting Avenue, Anfield, Liverpool : Edward Francis Pybis was shot in a drive-by shooting between two cars driving along Utting Avenue in Anfield, Liverpool on 3 January 2011. He had been in the passenger seat of a silver Volvo car and was shot in the arm and abdomen by someone in a black BMW 7 series car with the registration DX57 UHU.
Husband and wife - Greater Manchester: A Husband and Wife were found dead. The case was considered a murder/suicide but it was later claimed in August 2020 that they could have been murdered.
