Dipo Seweje - Chartridge House, Aylesbury Estate : Dipo Seweje was shot in a communal garden near Chartridge House on the Aylesbury Estate in Walworth. He had been shot at around 4pm on 26 December 2007 but his body was not discovered until the following day, 27 December 2007.
Jerome Vassell - West Indian Cultural Centre, Clarendon Road, Hornsey: Jerome Vassell was shot at the car park of the West Indian Cultural Centre in Hornsey on 28 October 2006 at around 1am and later died on 27 December 2007. He had been in a car at the West Indian Cultural Centre when he was shot in the head.
David Nowak - Somerford Grove, Stoke Newington: David Nowak was stabbed to death in a gang fight near the Somerford Community Hall. Eleven youths were tried for his murder but acquitted due to lack of evidence.
Brendan Hamilton - Asylum Road, Peckham: Brendan Hamilton was murdered in Asylum Road. Two men were tried for his murder but cleared.
Margaret Hawkins - Charterhouse Road, Orpington: Margaret Hawkins was attacked at her bungalow on Charterhouse Road in Orpington and died two days later at the Princess Royal University Hospital. She had been attacked on 16 November 2007 by two white men who burst into her home and shoved her onto her sofa and then stole her property and cash.
Kellie Telesford - 81 Leander Road, Thornton Heath, South London: Kellie Telesford was a transgender woman who was killed in her flat at 81 Leander Road, Thornton Heath. She was strangled with her own scarf on 18 November 2007 and discovered in her dressing gown and underwear three days later on 21 November 2007.
Etem Celebi - Smalley Close, Stoke Newington: Etem Celebi was shot in the back around 9.45pm on 17 November 2007. A man was convicted for his murder in 2009 after an earlier trial which resulted in a hung jury but his conviction was later overturned after his barrister claimed that he had been wrongly identified by two eyewitnesses. The barrister said instead that the murder had been committed by another man that had been a witness for the prosecution and who had refused to come to court to testify. The court also heard that CCTV evidence was found that showed another man that had a very similar appearance to the man that was tried.
Colin Bernard Smith - Nels Gym, Alderwood Avenue, Speke: Colin Smith was shot dead at Nels Gym on 13 November 2007. He was shot twice in the stomach at close range with a pump-action shotgun.
Jonathon Matondo - Nottingham Cliff Park, Burngreave, Sheffield: Jonathon Matondo was shot in the head in Nottingham Cliff Park. A man was tried for his murder but acquitted after two trials. At the first trial the jury had failed to reach a verdict.
Philip Poru - Long Walk, Plumstead, South London: Philip Poru was shot as he sat in a silver Ford Fiesta car with friends in Long Walk, Plumstead, south London on 14 October 2007. He was shot at around 10pm when two black men came up to their car and when they told the men that they were from Peckham one of them pulled out a gun and started shooting at them.
Diane Carrington - 24E Fern Court, Drakefell Road, New Cross, Southeast London: Diane Carrington died after someone poured about two litres of petrol through her letterbox at 24E Fern Court, Drakefell Road, New Cross on 4 October 2007 and set it on fire. She lived in a flat with her 15-year-old daughter. When the petrol was lit it caused an explosion that rocked the building.
Stephen McGovern - Avonspark Street, Barmulloch, Glasgow: Stephen McGovern was stabbed at a flat in Avonspark Street, Barmulloch at about 7.45pm on Thursday 4 October 2007. He was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he died soon after. Three men were later seen to run away from the flat.
Lewis Wiles - Wiles Newsagents, Sheffield: Lewis Wiles was died after being pushed over from which he suffered from head injuries. The cause of his death, which was said to have been blunt force trauma, could not be proved by the police.
Mojtabi Heidari - Pizza Go Go, Wandsworth Road, Lambeth: Mojtabi Heidari was stabbed to death behind the Pizza Go Go restaurant on Wandsworth Road. A man was tried for his murder at the Old Bailey but the trial result is not known.
Daniel Dennis - Brassie Avenue, Acton, East London: Daniel Dennis was shot in his car as he drove along Brassie Avenue near to East Acton tube station. He had been driving along in a black BMW 118 5-door saloon car when another car drove alongside his car and fired shots at him at 10.30pm on Wednesday 17 September 2007. The other car then sped off.
Gemma Louise Jones - Bagley Court, Thornhill : Gemma Louise Jones was found at her home with injuries and taken to hospital where she later died. A man was arrested on suspicion of murder but released and no further information is known.
Kevin Holmes - Milton Road, Southsea, Hampshire: Kevin Holmes died after a fire was started in his flat. He was found dead in the communal hallway of the block of flats that he lived in in Milton Road, Southsea.
Edvin Johnson - Barnet House, Crawford Estate, Camberwell : Edvin Johnson was stabbed to death in a block of flats in Camberwell. He was stabbed in the groin in the stairwell of Barnet House on the Crawford Estate at about 9pm.
John Bailey - Dearne Hotel, Barnsley: John Bailey was the victim of an assault. He was treated in hospital and discharged, but later died.
Andrew Gosden - Doncaster, South Yorkshire: Andrew Gosden went missing from his home in Doncaster. He had taken £200 out of his bank account and bought a one-way ticket to London. He was last seen in Doncaster at 8.30am as he walked down Littlemoor Lane, Balby, towards Westfield Park.
Moses Ssendawula - Burgess Park, Camberwell: Moses Ssendawula was shot in the back as he walked home. It was thought that he had been shot in a case of mistaken identity.
Mohammed Ahmed - Chesterford Road, Newham, East London: Mohammed Ahmed was stabbed in Chesterford Road shortly before 11.30pm on 30 August 2007. He was found dead at the scene.
Peter Hughes, Monica Hughes and Joan Harper - Penhallow Hotel, Island Crescent, Newquay, Cornwall: Peter Hughes, Monica Hughes and Joan Harper were found dead in Penhallow Hotel following a fire on 18 August 2007. Four people, the bar manager, the hotel porter, and the hotel managers, were arrested during the police murder investigation but were all released without charge.
Daraj Asghar - Priory Close, South Woodford: Daraj Asghar was stabbed with a sword as he sat in a car on Priory Close in South Woodford in the early hours of 5 August 2007. A man was tried for his murder but acquitted.
Xiong Zhang - Hertford Road, Barking: Xiong Zhang died from a head injury after being robbed on a tow path on the River Roding on 19 July 2007. He was an illegal immigrant from China and sold counterfeit DVD's.
Walter Glancy - Weir Street, Greenock: Walter Glancy was found injured in Weir Street in Greenock and taken to the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow but later died. A woman was questioned but there are no reports of any charges, trials or convictions.
Abukah Mahamood - Cassell House, Stockwell Gardens Estate, South London: Abukah Mahamood was shot at about 12.15am after being chased by a gang of youths on bicycles. A man was tried for his murder but the Crown Prosecution Service dropped the charge because there was insufficient evidence to proceed with the case. The man tried for the murder had lived on the Stockwell Gardens estate.
John Devine - Cowlairs Park, Saracen, Glasgow: John Devine was stabbed to death in a park. His body was found in bushes near to Keppochhill Road, Springburn.
Kolawole Ojo Babadiya - Bar SW8, 274 Wandsworth Road, Lambeth, Southwest London: Kolawole Babadiya was shot outside the Bar SW8 at 274 Wandsworth Road on 15 July 2007 at about 1.30am. He later died at the Royal College Hospital at 8.30am the same morning.
Albert Bishop - Hythe Road, Ashford, Kent: Albert Bishop died about four months after he was attacked in his home by a man who stole £700 from him. He was attacked in the hallway of his home by a man with a ball pein hammer on 18 March 2007.
Ashley Dighton - Simone Weil Avenue, Ashford, Kent: Ashley Dighton was last seen on 11 June 2007 at the Sainsbury’s Bybrook supermarket in Simone Weil Avenue, Ashford. He was watched by a security guard as he walked off down a footpath whilst very drunk and drinking from a bottle of vodka.
Thomas Cameron - Auchinairn Tavern, Bishopbriggs: Thomas Cameron was shot in the car park of the Auchinairn Tavern, Bishopbriggs at around 6.55pm on Thursday 29 June 2007. After he was shot he was taken to the Stobhill Hospital but was found to be dead on arrival.
William Bates - Erskine Bridge, West Dunbartonshire: William Bates was found dead in a barrel in the River Clyde. His body was found by council workers in the oil drum during a routine cleaning and dredging operation at Old Kilpatrick near the Erskine Bridge in West Dunbartonshire at around 9.40am on 26 July 2007.
Abu Shahin - Ramsgill Drive, Ilford : Abu Shahin was stabbed in Ramsgill Drive, Ilford at 12.20am on the morning of Wednesday 26 June 2007. He was taken to King George Hospital but later died.
Yuri Golubev - London: Yuri Golubev died from natural causes. However it was thought that he might have been poisoned by Russian agents.
Christopher Munro - Inverness Street, Drumoyne, Glasgow: Christopher Munro was found stabbed at a house in Inverness Street just after midnight on Sunday Monday 25 June 2007 and was taken to Southern General hospital where he died 12 hours later. He had lived in Inverness Street, Drumoyne and was found at a neighbours house after having come back from a pub.
Ben Hitchcock - Southend Road, Beckenham: Ben Hitchcock was stabbed in the back in a fight. Four people were tried for his murder but all were acquitted.
Carlos Eduardo Cegove Moreno - Holmes Court, Fletcher Road, Acton: Carlos Eduardo Cegove Moreno was shot in the street as he arrived at a friend’s place at Holmes Court. He had been on a moped and had been shot at with a 9mm gun by someone thought to have been in a silver Volkswagen Polo car.
James Houliston - Shoreditch Park : James Houliston was attacked in Shoreditch Park. James Houliston was thought to have been attacked by a group of about six Asian and black youths and a white girl with blonde or bleached hair.
Ahmed Shah - West End Road, Southall: Ahmed Shah was stabbed to death in West End Road, Southall. A suspect was later arrested in Edinburgh and later charged with his murder but there is no indication of a trial or a conviction.
Gary Morton - Woodhead Bar, Swisscot Avenue, Hamilton : Gary Morton was murdered during a disturbance in the car park of the Woodhead Bar in Hamilton. Police said that about ten men had been involved in the attack. Gary Morton and a man were both taken to Hairmyres Hospital where Gary Morton soon died. The other man had received serious head injuries but survived.
Rizvi Raheem - Sardeson House, SE27: Rizvi Raheem was killed at Sardeson House in SE27. Three suspects were tried but no further information is known.
Robert Gordon Keetley - River Trent, Trent Bridge, Embankment, The Meadows, Nottingham : Robert Keetley was found dead in the River Trent after a night out in Nottingham. It was thought that he had either been robbed and pushed into the river, or that he had been robbed and had fled his attackers and had then somehow got into the water.
Alfred Christopher Liverpool - Clarence House, Rushcroft Road, Brixton: Alfred Liverpool was shot at a flat in Clarence House, Rushcroft Road, Brixton, on 27 April 2007. Four men were seen fleeing the scene soon after. They were wearing dark clothing and hoods and described as young.
Jason Bird - Drumbottie Road, Balornock: Jason Bird was stabbed to death at 8pm on Thursday 26 April 2007. Three people were said to have been convicted in relation to the attack but the convictions are not detailed and could be for lesser offences.
George Purton - Piedmont Road, Woolwich: George Purton was found dead at his flat in Piedmont Road, Woolwich. His wife was charged with his murder but there is no trial result or further information. She had denied murdering him.
Stephen ONeil - Orsett Street, SE11: Stephen O’Neil died in Orsett Street, Lonodn, SE11. Enquiries and press appeals were made, but nothing more is known.
Alan Sheard - Leeds Road, Thornbury: Alan Sheard was attacked on Leeds Road, Thornbury and later died in Leeds General Infirmary the following day. He was walking along the Leeds Road after drinking in local pubs on the Sunday night at 7pm when he got into an argument with a group of Asian youths, one of whom then assaulted him.
Mustaphur Charkaui - Dunsham Lane, Aylesbury: Mustaphur Charkaui and his wife were attacked at their home by two men in balaclavas armed with a spade on Monday 12 March 2007. They had forced their way into his home through a rear window and attacked them. Mustaphur Charkaui was hit over the head with a spade and knocked unconscious and taken to hospital but died 11 days later, on 23 March 2007, without regaining consciousness.
Adam Regis - Kingsland Road, Plaistow, East London: Adam Regis was attacked by up to four men in Kingsland Road and stabbed on 17 March 2007. He had been talking to his girlfriend on his mobile phone at the time.
Alexander James Ash - 34 St Leonard Close, Boston, Lincolnshire: Alexander Ash died in a fire at his bungalow. He died from smoke inhalation. The fire was discovered by his neighbour.
Tyno Kavuala - Scrubs Lane, Harlesden, Northwest London: Tyno Kavuala was shot dead as he sat in his black Audi A3 car on Scrubs Lane in Harlesden, northwest London, at around 4.15pm. He was at a bus stop on the southbound carriageway near the junction with Harrow Road and Willsden Junction station.
Terry McSpadden - Fir Tree Cottage, Outwell Road, Elm, Wisbech, Norfolk: Terry McSpadden was last seen on the night of 1 March 2007 having spent the evening in The Locomotive pub in Wisbech. He is known to have visited the local Tesco supermarket in Wisbech just before 1am on 2 March 2007 to get money from a cashpoint and buy a case of beer and is then believed to have gone back to the home he shared with another man, Fir Tree Cottage, on Outwell Road in Elm. It is thought that he then went to bed but he failed to show up for work the next day.
Bill Hendry - Stockwell Lane, Knaresborough: Bill Hendry was run over whilst crossing the road on 26 February 2007 but the driver drove off. In 2017 police issued CCTV evidence of the person they were looking for.
William Cox - Fenwick Place, Clapham, London: William Cox was shot in his home in Fenwick Place, Clapham on Valentine’s Day 2007. He had earlier been in Acre Lane, Brixton and left there at 2.36pm to go home. He was later caught on CCTV with two other men walking along Landor Road in Clapham at 2.55pm, heading home. When his 12-year-old sister came home after leaving school around 3.30pm she heard a bang and when she went in, she found William Cox shot in the chest in his bedroom. He died in his sister’s arms. A friend gave William Cox some first aid and he was still alive when the ambulance arrived, and he was also treated by paramedics but died at the scene.
Acioli Pariz-Junior - Westminster House Hotel, 96 Ebury Street, Belgravia, London: Acioli Pariz-Junior was found in a suite at the Westminster House Hotel, in Belgravia, London, on 14 February 2007. He had been beaten and stabbed.
Sajid Saddique - Heaton, Bradford: Sajid Saddique was not seen since going out for a business meeting in 2007. In 2014 his case was turned into a murder investigation. His disappearance had been treated as a missing persons inquiry until 2014 when new evidence was uncovered and a murder inquiry was opened. A 62-year-old man and another man were then also arrested. A third person was also arrested on suspicion of assisting offenders. However, no charges were made after the Crown Prosecution Service ruled there was insufficient evidence against them.
Chamberlain Igwemba - Flamborough House, Clayton Road, Peckham: Chamberlain Igwemba was shot at a flat in Flamborough House, Clayton Road, Peckham in the early hours of Sunday 4 February 2007. Another man was also seriously injured, having also been shot.
James Andre Godfrey Smartt-Ford - Streatham Ice Rink, Streatham: James Smartt-Ford was shot dead at an ice rink in Streatham in south west London. He had been at the ice rink on 3 February 2007 as a guest at a disco. There were about 300 people there in total and the ice rink was described as packed.
Joseph Houghton - Haringey: The death of Joseph Houghton is listed as undetected by the Metropolitan Police. No further information is known.
Dean Tulley - Fraser House, Green Dragon Lane, Brentford, West London: Dean Tulley was shot in the head at a flat by two men with a machine gun. Two men wearing balaclavas burst into the flat at 9.22pm. There were about ten people in the flat at the time and it was thought that Dean Tulley was not targeted as they sprayed bullets around the room with a Czech Republic CZ25 sub-machine gun. They had entered the block through a rear fire escape and then kicked the door to the flat in. They were said to have sprayed the flat with bullets for three minutes.
Robert Pride-McLeod - Robert Street, Harrogate: Robert Pride-McLeod was found dead in a cellar at a homeless hostel on Robert Street on 21 January 2007. He had suffered a head injury after having been assaulted.
Atiyebi Omuaru - Nirro Garage, Lyons Industrial Estate, River Road, Barking: Atiyebi Omuaru was shot as he picked up his car from a garage. He was followed into the Nirro Garage on the Lyons Industrial Estate by two men who then shot him. However, he was still able to engage with them and they started fighting. During the struggle he was shot again multiple times and jumped behind the counter. One of the gunmen then leaned over the counter and shot him again several times and then his attackers fled.
Paul Brannan - Rochester Street, Windhill, Shipley: Paul Brannan died after being hit with a bottle. He had a heart attack a few hours later after the blow caused a haemorrhage that led to a major blockage in an artery.
Man - Collyhurst: The skeletal remains of a man were found on wasteland in Collyhurst on 16 March 2009. It was thought that he had died between January 2007 and autumn 2008.
Paul James Kelly - Longacre Tavern, London Road, Bath: Paul James Kelly was stabbed to death in a fight outside the Longacre Tavern. He had been in the pub for New Year's eve after which a fight broke out. The fight went out into the street and Paul Kelly was stabbed in an alley nearby. The fight was witnessed by twenty people but no one was able to provide any clues as to who had stabbed him. The police said that there was a wall of silence.
Callum Bland - Fulmar Lane, Wellingborough: Callum Bland died in an arson attack on his house. Two teenagers were arrested on suspicion of his murder in April 2001, but no further details are known.
Man - Clocaenog Forest, Cerrigydrudion: The body of a man was found in Clocaenog Forest, Cerrigydrudion in 2015. It was thought that he had been murdered between 2004 and 2010 and then dumped.
