Anthony Brightmore, Patricia Brightmore and Steven Brightmore - Batemoor Walk, Batemoor, Sheffield: Anthony Brightmore, Patricia Brightmore and Steven Brightmore died from smoke inhalation in a fire at their home in Batemoor Walk, Batemoor, Sheffield on 23 December 2005. Their home caught fire after someone set fire to a wheelie bin outside. The wheelie bin had been outside the house under a wooden canopy. The house was also clad with wood.

Gregory Dikedi - Taplow House, Thurlow Street, Walworth: Gregory Dikedi was found dead at the bottom of a window at Taplow House in Thurlow Street, Walworth, London on 18 December 2005. It was unclear whether he had jumped out, was pushed out or had been assaulted beforehand and thrown out.

Thuy Van Le - Spanish Wines, Skerton Road, Old Trafford: Thuy Van Le was murdered during a robbery at the Spanish Wines off-licence in Skerton Road, Old Trafford where he worked at 7pm on 15 December 2005. He was shot in the chest.

Kamila Garsztka - Priory Marina, Bedford: Kamila Garsztka was found floating in Priory Marina on 24 January 2006. Her boyfriend was later convicted of murdering her and sentenced to 14 years but his conviction was later quashed after new evidence undermined the strength of the CCTV evidence which had been critical to the prosecution’s case. It was heard that the interpretation of the CCTV pictures had been unsatisfactory.

Douglas Yogarasa - Queensbury Road, Kingsbury: Douglas Yogarasa was shot in Queensbury Road, Kingsbury at about 9.50pm on 11 December 2005. It was thought that he had been walking home at the time. A white van was seen leaving the area soon after but was never traced. It was distinctive because it had had storage tubes fitted to the roof that ran the length of the roof, about six inches in diameter and white. They were the sort of tubes commonly used by plumbers to transport copper piping.

Annie Borjesson - Prestwick Beach: Annie Borjesson was found dead on Prestwick Beach on 4 December 2005. She was found face down on the beach fully clothed and it was claimed by the authorities that her most likely cause of death was drowning and a suspected suicide. However, an inquest was never held.

Racheal Usagiede - Worthing : Racheal Usagiede went missing in 2005 from Worthing. She was originally from Nigeria and had not been in the UK for long before she went missing.

Tucker - Dursley, Gloucestershire: Tucker, a baby, was found dead at her home in Dursley with suspicious non-accidental injuries. Tucker was described as white and female.

Michael Grey - Ellesmere Road, Benwell, Newcastle: Michael Grey was assaulted in the street on 11 November 2005 and died from the injuries in hospital ten days later. He was attacked between the Plaza Tavern pub and the post office near the top of Ellesmere Road in Benwell. He was last seen in CCTV footage on West Road shortly before he was attacked. It was thought that he might have been followed from the Plaza Tavern where some people had just stolen a handbag.

James Funnell - Hastings : James Funnell went missing in 2005 from Hastings. He was last seen just before midnight by his wife.

Joseph Ryan - Ryan Way, Rutherglen: Joseph Ryan was shot on 11 November 2005 in Ryan Way, Rutherglen at about 2.25pm. He was found bleeding in the street at about 2.45pm and taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary but died soon after arriving.

Andrea Daly - Rochford Road, Southend, Essex: Andrea Daly died in a house fire at her home on 10 November 2005. The front door to her house had been doused in petrol and set on fire at about 3.30am. Petrol had also been put through the letterbox.

Isaiah Young-Sam - Carlyle Street, Lozells, Birmingham: Isaiah Young-Sam was killed in some riots in Birmingham. Several people were convicted of his murder but later had their convictions quashed.

Hung Vi Tran - Barnes Common, Common Road, South London: Hung Vi Tran was found dead on Barnes Common on 13 October 2005. He had been beaten over the head with a blunt instrument. His body was spotted by drivers that had been driving along Common Road near Mill Hill Road.

Nora Tait - Stone Close Avenue, Hexthorpe: Nora Tait was beaten to death in her home shortly after having gone out to buy some fish and chips on 12 October 2005. She was found dead the next day by the son of one of her close friends who had found her door open.

Mark Sabean - High Street, Ashford, Kent: Mark Sabean died after a fight broke out near a bandstand in Ashford High Street around 12.30am on 9 October 2005. Four juveniles and a man were questioned by the police but released pending further inquiries and due to return for questioning in December 2005 although the outcome is not known.

George Edward Willis - Torridge Gardens, Rye Hill Park, Peckham, South London : George Edward Willis was murdered in his home in Torridge Gardens, Rye Hill Park, Peckham. He was found dead on 6 October 2005. He was last seen on 28 September 2005 and the police said that they were interested in speaking to anyone that had seen him during that period.

Anthony Cavanagh - Walkabout Bar, Concert Square, Liverpool: Anthony Cavanagh was killed when he was punched after leaving the Walkabout Bar in Concert Square in Liverpool. At the time he was on shore leave from HMS Cardiff on which he was a sailor.

Margaret Rose Domanski - London: The death of Margaret Rose Domanski was flagged up as undetected by the Metropolitan Police in a Freedom Of Information request. However, no further information is known.

Falwinder Singh Badesha - Holmhurst Road, Belvedere: Falwinder Singh Badesha was stabbed to death during a fight at his house in Holmhurst Road, Belvedere. The main suspect, his house mate, was thought to have fled to Amritsar in India.

Dennis Donahue - London: The death of Dennis Donahue was flagged up as undetected by the Metropolitan Police in a Freedom Of Information request. Dennis Donahue was described as Afro-Caribbean.

Anne Marie Foy - Crown Street, Liverpool: Anne Marie Foy was found dead in Crown Street, Liverpool on the afternoon of Thursday 15 September 2005. She had been a sex-worker and had been living in the Kensington area.

Melanie Hentze - London: The death of Melanie Hentze was flagged up as undetected by the Metropolitan Police in a Freedom Of Information request. Melanie Hentze was described as a dark-European.

Nader Hussien - Queens Park Court Estate, Kensal Green : Nader Hussien was stabbed and beaten to death in a street fight on the Queens Park Court Estate in Kensal Green on 9 September 2005. Four men were charged with his murder but acquitted, although a verdict against a fifth man was undecided and he was due to be retried, but there are no further trial details. The men on trial had said that they had been acting in self-defence but none of the friends of Nader Hussien were charged with anything.

Elsie Hughes - 50 Hawarden Road, Abermorddu, Wrexham: Elsie Hughes was found in a pool of blood at her home on Hawarden Road, Abermorddu, on 8 September 2005. It was thought that she had disturbed some intruders who had then attacked her.

Rory Blackhall - Meldrum, Edinburgh: Rory Blackhall was found dead in woodland under a tattered tent three days after he went missing. A suspect was later found dead at his home in the Camps Rigg area of Livingston in West Lothian.

Amjad Khan - Alum Rock Road, Alum Rock, Birmingham: Amjad Khan was stabbed in the back about five times outside his business, Five Star Home Entertainment, in Alum Rock Road, Alum Rock on 20 August 2005. He was attacked just after 3pm in the street. He was then taken to Heartlands Hospital where he died shortly after arriving.

James Peter Tomlin - Prospect Grove, Windhill, Shipley: James Tomlin died after an arson attack at his home in Prospect Grove, Shipley. He jumped from a bedroom window but then had a heart attack and died. Someone had poured kerosene through the letterbox of his home and then set it on fire in the early hours of 15 August 2005.

Clifford Coby - Red Lion Pub, 71 Ilford Hill, Ilford: Clifford Coby was shot in the Red Lion Pub in Ilford on 10 August 2005. The main suspect in his murder was later shot dead in Soufriere, St Lucia, in 2008.

Lucy Hargreaves - Lambourne Road, Walton, Liverpool: Lucy Hargreaves was killed when three masked men broke into her home in Lambourne Road, Walton on 3 August 2005. She was shot and set on fire. She had been asleep on the sofa at the time whilst her partner and children were upstairs. After shooting her they had dowsed her in petrol and set her alight.

Andrew Hodgkinson - Nottinghamshire: Andrew Hodgkinson died from burns. He received his burns on 27 July 2005 and later died on 1 August 2005.

Newton Murray John Thompson - Comfort Inn, Craven Hill, Paddington, West London: Newton Thompson was killed in a hotel in London after coming to the UK from Australia on holiday. It was thought that he had been mistaken for a paedophile who had also come over from Australia and had been targeted by a vigilante.

Damilola Adelaja - Worthing : Damilola Adelaja went missing towards the end of July in 2005. She was originally from Nigeria.

Mohsin Ali Shah - Merseyside: Mohsin Ali Shah was reported as having been murdered on 30 July 2005, but nothing more is known. His murder was reported to have taken place in the Merseyside area.

Peter Buahin - Woodpecker Road, New Cross, South London: Peter Buahin was shot in the head on 25 July 2005 whilst sitting on his bicycle outside his house in Woodpecker Road, New Cross. Two black men were seen cycling towards him at about 11.49pm and then one of them was seen to raise his hand and then two or three shots were fired.

Hussein Hersi - Argyle Road, West Ealing: Hussein Hersi was stabbed eight times in Argyle Road, West Ealing at about 8pm on 14 July 2005. He had been with a friend when they were attacked by a group of five males near the junction of The Avenue on Argyle Road in West Ealing.

Zbigniew Forys - St Marys Burial Ground, Churchfield Road, South Acton: Zbigniew Forys died after a fight in St Mary's burial ground on Churchfield Road, South Acton, between 5pm and 9pm on 30 June 2005. He had been a tramp.

Thi Hai Nguyen - Swindon, Wiltshire: Thi Hai Nguyen went missing from her temporary home in Swindon in June 2005. It was first thought that she had gone to London to find work.

William Henry Marney - Mill Place, Crayford: William Henry Marney was shot outside his home shortly before 10pm on 23 June 2005, in Mill Place, Crayford. He had been stood outside when a car drove by with two black men in it and shots were fired at him.

Troy Robinson - Wybourne Way, Stonebridge Park, Harlesden, Northwest London: Troy Robinson was shot in the chest in Harlesden late on the evening of 19 June 2005. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Anthony John Curtis - River Irwel, Manchester: Anthony John Curtis was found dead in the River Irwel. He had been convicted of the manslaughter of Ben Kamanalagi, along with another man, in 2003 and at the time he had been on home leave from prison, having only five months left to serve.

Andrew Edwards - Austin Road, Charford, Bromsgrove, London: Andrew Edwards was found dead in a doorway in Austin Road, Charford, Bromsgrove shortly before 2pm on Saturday 6 November 2005. His cause of death was described as unexplained.

Mahon - Aughton Road, Bootle: A baby known as Mahon was reported by the Merseyside Police as having been found murdered in Aughton Road Bootle on 18 June 2005. However, nothing more is known.

June Thrussell - Pedley Road, Dagenham, Essex: June Thrussell was found strangled on her sofa at her home in Pedley Road, Dagenham. A man was tried for her murder but acquitted. The man tried for her murder was a convicted murderer that had lived a few doors away with his father and who had done odd jobs for her. It was heard that he had stabbed a previous neighbour to death in 1975 after cleaning her windows. The court was told that there were so many similar features with the murder and the 1973 murder that it was impossible that the man could not be guilty. June Thrussell had also given the man the keys to her house which were later found in some bushes.

Vikki Preston and Rhona Schofield - 23 King Street, Higher Broughton, Salford, West Midlands: Vikki Preston and Rhona Schofield were killed in an arson attack at a house in King Street, Higher Broughton on 10 May 2005. The fire was started deliberately on the ground floor of the terraced house where they were asleep upstairs by someone that had entered the house through an open front door.

Chamlong Allen - Lonsdale Mews, Portobello Road, West London: Chamlong Allen was found stabbed to death in a lock-up garage in Lonsdale Mews, just off Portobello Road, on Wednesday 27 April 2005. She had been stabbed twelve times in her neck, liver and kidneys and also had six other superficial stab wounds.

Wayne Martin Kelly - The Harp Pub, West Hendon: Wayne Kelly was unlawfully killed in a pub fight outside The Harp pub in West Hendon, on 10 April 2005. Three people were initially arrested for his murder but the Crown Prosecution Service said that there was insufficient evidence to prosecute them.

Orville Davidson - Knoyle Street, New Cross, South London: Orville Davidson was shot in the heart on the Woodpecker Estate. He was found lying in Knoyle Street at about 10pm.

Sean Stanislas - Stonebridge Estate, Willesden, London: Sean Stanislas was shot outside his home on the Stonebridge Estate in Willesden by two men in March 2005. One of the men suspected of his murder was later murdered in July 2006 by a man that wanted revenge for Sean Stanislas's death. The man had been in prison at the time for assault with intent to rob and had written to a friend saying, 'It's almost a year since Stunts died and no one has taken any action'. It was said that two months after he was released from prison the suspect was shot. The man that had murdered one of the murder suspects was jailed for 25 years for the murder.

Paul Francis Cash - Chobham, Surrey: Paul Francis Cash was shot at a travellers site in Cobham. Three men were tried for his murder but acquitted.

Peter Houghton - Fawns Manor Close, Bedfont: Peter Houghton was found dead in his home on Fawns Manor Close, Bedfont on 14 March 2005. He had been tortured to death over an extended period.

Bruno Hrela - Cedar Avenue, Enfield, North London: Bruno Hrela was shot in the head. He was found lying in the street next to his silver Mercedes having been shot twice in the head.

Justin Laurie Bernier - 297 Clapham Road, Clapham, South-West London: Justin Laurie Bernier was stabbed to death at his home in Clapham. He had lived in a flat at 297 Clapham Road in Clapham and was found there on the Monday morning, 21 February 2005.

Michael McNamara - London: The death of Michael McNamara was flagged up as undetected by the Metropolitan Police in a Freedom Of Information request. No other information is known.

Kevon Forsythe - Brixton Road, Brixton: Kevon Forsythe was shot in Brixton Road. Two men were tried for his murder but acquitted. The judge said that there was no case against one of the men and the other man had said that he had not been in the area and was cleared by the jury.

Jennifer Kiely - Lower Promenade, Holywell, Eastbourne, Sussex: Jennifer Kiely was found raped, stabbed and burnt in a thatched seaside shelter on the lower promenade at the Holywell end of Eastbourne on Saturday 23 January 2005. She had been stabbed 16 times in the upper body, raped and sexually assaulted. Police said that they were unable to determine whether she had been sexually assaulted before or after she had died. A detective said, 'I can say from her injuries that this attack was sustained with a high degree of ferocity'.

Min An Lin - London: The death of Min An Lin was flagged up as undetected by the Metropolitan Police in a Freedom Of Information request. No other information is known.

Khang Tho Nguyen - 48 Bamford Avenue, Alperton, Wembley, North London: Khang Nguyen was found dead in a cannabis factory on Bamford Avenue in Wembley on 15 January 2005. He had been stabbed in the neck and was thought to have died about two weeks earlier. His post-mortem stated that his cause of death was an incised wound to the neck.

Stanley McBride - Abbey Public House, Plaistow, London: Stanley McBride died after a fight at the Abbey Public House in Plaistow, London on the night of Saturday 8 January 2005. A man was tried for his murder but cleared although convicted of grievous bodily harm with intent.

Benjamin Onwuka - Maxilla Walk, Harlesden, London: Benjamin Onwuka was shot in Maxilla Walk, Harlesden on 2 January 2005 in the afternoon. He was taken to hospital where he later died.
