Robin Williams - Lordship Lane, Tottenham: Robin Williams was battered and stabbed to death at his flat in Lordship Lane, Tottenham. A woman was tried twice for his murder but each time the jury failed to reach a verdict. The woman went on to murder another man by beating him over the head with a bottle and stealing his money and was sentenced to 30-years in prison in 2011.

Terry Gregory - Albion Pub, Woolwich Church Street, Woolwich: Terry Gregory was stabbed to death outside the Albion Pub, on Woolwich Church Street after a row at a bus stop over an umbrella. He was stabbed nine times.

Evelyn Jackson - 4 Bickerdike Court, Erneley Close, Longsight, Manchester: Evelyn Jackson died following a robbery at her flat at 4 Bickerdike Court, Erneley Close, Longsight on Friday 28 November 2003. She died 12 days later on 10 December 2003 at the Manchester Royal Infirmary. She had been attacked sometime between 1.30pm and 2.15pm. The man stole her handbag, which had contained about £1,000 and had then run off.

Kenneth Broughton - Green Park, Mackworth, Derbyshire: Kenneth Broughton died in a fire at his home in the early hours of 7 December 2003.  Two youths were tried for his murder but acquitted in 2004. 

Leon Forbes - Daley Thompson Way, Queenstown Road, Clapham: Leon Forbes was shot outside his home in Clapham on Daley Thompson Way on 7 December 2003. He had just left his house at 12.15am after arranging to meet a friend to play him his new CD and had gone down to his mother's car and just got in.

John Ryan - London: The death of John Ryan was flagged as undetected by the Metropolitan Police in a Freedom Of Information request but no further information is known. He had been a white European male.

Joanne Broome - Main Street, Renton, West Dunbartonshire : Joanne Broome was stabbed and set on fire in a top-floor flat in Main Street, Renton on 4 December 2003. The police said that she died as a result of a number of stab wounds.

Morgan - London: The death of a baby with the surname Morgan was flagged as undetected by the Metropolitan Police in a Freedom Of Information request but no further information is known. She had been an Afro-Caribbean female.

Peter Stone - The Chequers Pub, Cottenham, Cambridgeshire: Peter Stone died following an incident outside the Chequer's pub in Cottenham, Cambridgeshire on Saturday 29 November 2003. Peter Stone had been trying to help the landlord of the pub clear customers at closing time when he was beaten up. 

Gamal Fares George Mallwi - Thaxton Road, West Kensington, London: Gamal Mallwi was shot as he was getting into a car in Thaxton Road near the junction with North End Road in West Kensington on 28 November 2003 at about 8.30pm. He was hit in the stomach and chest and taken to hospital where he later died.

Martin Simpson - Albion Street, Leicester: Martin Simpson was found with head injuries in Albion Street, Leicester after a night out on 23 November 2003 at about 2.30am. He was taken to the Leicester Royal Infirmary but was found to be dead on arrival. His body was found by a taxi driver lying in the middle of the street.

Sandra Gant - Hayes Road, Clacton: Sandra Gant was last seen after she left a flat in Clacton where she had been for a drink on 15 November 2003. She has not been seen since nor her body found.

Mark McCall - Westdale Drive, Pudsey, West Yorkshire: Mark McCall was shot dead in Pudsey, West Yorkshire. A gunman had waited for him in a car to pass through an alleyway between Westdale Road and Westdale Drive at about 6.45pm and then shot him three times.

Valery Tubialevich - Yatess Wine Lodge, South Street, Romford, Essex: Valery Tubialevich was injured outside Yates's Wine Lodge in Romford, Essex on 9 November 2003 and died two days later on 11 November 2003. A bouncer on the door of the pub was tried for his manslaughter at the Old Bailey after it was said that he had struck him a single blow to the head. However, the jury found him not guilty.

Paul Kara - London: The death of Paul Kara was flagged as undetected by the Metropolitan Police in a Freedom Of Information request but no further information is known. He had been a white European male.

Omar Watson - Nefertitis Secret Hair Salon, Peveril Street, Radford: Omar Watson was shot at the Nefertitis Secret Hair Salon on Peveril Street on 7 November 2003 at about 1pm. He was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre where he died from a single gunshot wound.

Erkan Konakli - River Lea Navigation, Willington Court, Mandeville Street, Clapton, Hackney Marshes : Erkan Konakli was found dead in the River Lea Navigation, having been shot in the back of the head. His cause of death was given as a bullet wound to the back of the head. It was thought that he had been executed because of his links in the drugs trade and the criminal underworld. The police said that it was fair to say that he was involved in drugs trafficking and noted that his murder was a classic execution-style killing.

Jhanzab Khan - Rupert Street, Nechells, West Midlands: Jhanzab Khan was shot in a drive by shooting in Rupert Street, Nechells on Tuesday 4 November 2003. He died from gunshot wounds to the head and chest two days later.

Graham Fisher and Carol Fisher - Wadebridge, Cornwall: Graham Fisher and Carol Fisher were shot three times with a sawn-off shotgun and then beaten to death with sledgehammers at their home in Wadebridge, Cornwall on 5 November 2003. Two brothers were convicted of their murders in January 2006 at Exeter Crown Court, but they were granted a retrial in 2023 and acquitted on 18 December 2024. The brothers had been 29 and 31 years old.

Joseph Macari - Samson Kebab Shop, Kennington Lane, Kennington, Southwest London: Joseph Macari died after he was punched outside the Samson kebab takeaway in Kennington Lane, Kennington. A man was tried for his manslaughter but acquitted.

Jason Stock - Alexandra Road, Hull, Humberside: Jason Stock died after having been beaten around the head with a flat heavy weapon or punched to the ground. He was found at a man's home with head, face and body injuries and taken to hospital where he later died. He was unconscious when he was found and never regained consciousness.

Charlene Downes - Abingdon Street, Blackpool, Lancashire: Charlene Downes was last seen in the early hours of 1 November 2003 at the junction of Abingdon Street and the back of Clifton Street in Blackpool. A man was tried twice for her murder in 2008, but the jury were unable to reach a verdict in the first trial and in the second trial grave doubts were raised over the evidence. It was said that failures in police surveillance techniques resulted in the collapse of the trial that had heard that Charlene Downes had been raped by a kebab shop owner who was then alleged to have murdered her and put her remains in with the kebabs he was selling. The man and another man were said to have been heard talking about having sex with white girls and having joked that Charlene Downes had gone into the kebabs. The judge said that a witness in the case could no longer be considered reliable and the second trial collapsed. The other man that had been on trial with the kebab shop owner was charged with assisting an offender after it was alleged that he had helped to dispose of Charlene Downes's body but he was also acquitted.

Roland Bici - Liberal Club, Central Park Road, East Ham: Roland Bici was stabbed to death at the Liberal Club in Central Park Road, East Ham, London during a robbery on 26 October 2003. The bar manager was charged with his murder but acquitted after the key witness was accidently deported from the country and refused to come back.

Anthony Robinson - Bristow Road, Gipsy Hill: Anthony Robinson was shot in Bristow Road, Gipsy Hill on 22 October 2003. He had been driving along the road in his silver Fiat Punto car when a dark-coloured saloon car forced him to stop. He then got out and was shot in the chest at close range by the driver.

Ronald Kerr - Lamberton Drive, Cardonald, Glasgow: Ronald Kerr died in a fire at his home that was started deliberately on 21 October 2003. The fire brigade was called to the fire and managed to pull Ronald Kerr out but he was pronounced dead soon after.

Eamonn Bloodworth - Blackbird Road, Leicester: Eamonn Bloodworth was killed at the junction of Ravensbridge Drive and Blackbird Road in Leicester in the early hours of 18 October 2003. A man was tried for his murder but acquitted.

Michael John Jones - Bromleigh House, Abbey Street, Bermondsey: Michael John Jones was shot outside his home in Bromleigh House, Abbey Street, Bermondsey at about 1am on 16 October 2003. The police were called to the scene shortly after the shooting at 1am. He was found dead by the door to his home.

Johnathan Gordon - Barrish Bar, Royal Park Road, Hyde Park, Leeds: Johnathan Gordon was shot outside the Barrish bar in Hyde Park, Leeds on 12 October 2003. He had been out for the night with friends and was outside the Barrish bar at 5.30am when a man of medium height and build, wearing dark clothing and a crash helmet shot him 2-4 times. It was said that his crash helmet had a distinctive Mohican design above the visor. It was thought that the gunman had put the crash helmet on in the bar.

Adeel Akabar - Sawari House, Essex Road, Leyton: Adeel Akabar was beaten to death at Sawari House in Essex Road, Leyton. Seven people were cleared of his murder at the Old Bailey in September 2004.

James Roger Brodie - East Heckington, Lincolnshire: James Brodie disappeared after a robbery that he was thought to have been involved with in which Marian Bates was murdered. He was not seen or heard of after the robbery on 30 September 2003, having made no contact with any of his friends or using his mobile phone since.

Halil Tamizi - Caledonian Road, Camden, North London : Halil Tamizi was stabbed and disembowelled outside a shop on 26 September 2003. A male Albanian asylum seeker was tried for his murder but the jury failed to reach a verdict.

Esron Germaine - Livingstone Road, Perry Barr: Esron Germaine was shot in Livingstone Road, Perry Barr on Friday, 21 September 2003. He died three days later on 26 September 2003. Two men were acquitted of his murder. A third man that was said to have been involved was never traced.

Stephen Henry - Woodland Road, Clifton, Bristol: Stephen Henry was shot in a gang related shooting outside the Level Nightclub in Park Row, Bristol on 14 September 2003 as he went to his car in nearby Woodland Road. Six people were tried for conspiracy to murder him but were acquitted. Two other people had also been charged but the jury were unable to arrive at a verdict in their cases and it was stated that they faced the possibility of a future trial. However, they were retried a year later and cleared.

Michael Powell - Thornhill Road Station, Handsworth, Birmingham: Michael Powell died from asphyxiation shortly after being arrested by the police in Birmingham on 7 September 2003. The West Midlands Police later paid £300,000 in compensation to his family.

Shumin Hussain - Flat 51 Telford Court, Alma Road, St Albans: Shumin Hussain died after falling from the ninth floor of Telford Court in St Albans, about 100ft, at about 10.15pm on 7 September 2003. The flat that he had fallen from was a well-known drug den and it was thought that there might have been an argument there after some money had gone missing. It was reported that the walls were covered with blood.

Prince of Wales Fire - Prince of Wales Pub, 1-3 Allen Road, Stoke Newington, London : Christopher Knight, Charlie Knight and Ronnie Springer died following a fire at the Prince of Wales pub in Stoke Newington on 27 July 2003. Christopher Knight and Charlie Knight died from the results of the fire.

Damian Lewis - London: The death of Damian Lewis was flagged as undetected by the Metropolitan Police in a Freedom Of Information request but no further information is known. He had been an Afro-Caribbean male.

Stephen Moss - unknown: Stephen Moss died from a heart attack. However it was thought that he might have been killed by Russian agents that used untraceable toxins that trigger cardiac arrest.

Natalie Putt - Lower Gornal, Dudley: Natalie Putt vanished on 1 September 2003 after saying that she was nipping out to the shops. She had left her 11-week old son behind at the house. Her bank account remained untouched. She also left her mobile phone behind along with all her possessions. The police said that there was no evidence that she had been murdered or that she had planned to kill herself.

Naveed Saleem - Wellesley Gardens, Moseley: Naveed Saleem was found dead in his car at about 7.30am on 26 August 2003. Two people were charged with his murder but acquitted. After their acquittal, the police said that they were not looking for anyone else in relation to his murder.

Justin Maynard - Tugford Close, Moss Side: Justin Maynard was shot in the back in Tugford Close, Moss Side on 26 August 2003. He was shot once in the head at about 6.45pm and pronounced dead at the scene. 

Ahmed El-Hamid - Stanley Road, Teddington: Ahmed El-Hamid was stabbed to death in his car in Stanley Road, Teddington. He had been having an argument with his estranged wife in his car when a man became involved and stabbed him. At the time Ahmed El-Hamid's three children, a four-year-old daughter a two-year-old son and his six-month-old daughter, were also in the car.

Frank Bayley - Hartshill Road, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire : Frank Bayley was asphyxiated at his off-licence in Hartshill Road, Stoke-on-Trent, on 18 August 2003. He was found dead by the police who forced their way into his shop after being alerted by concerned neighbours. 

Reginald Penny - Druidstone Road, Old St Mellons, Cardiff: Reginald Penny was found dead at his home by a relative at 8.50pm on 18 August 2003. The police said that his death was suspicious. He had been a wealthy businessman and it was thought that he might have been murdered because of his business dealings. He was a financial adviser and moneylender.

Daniel Batten - Brockles Mead, Harlow: Daniel Batten was stabbed during a street clash between two groups of men on the night of Saturday 16 August 2003. The police said that they thought that his murder might have been racially motivated.

Steve Thorpe - Brunswick Road, Greengates, Bradford: Steve Thorpe was killed at his home in Brunswick Road, Greengates on 14 August 2003. He was assaulted in his home and died from his injuries.

Sean Edwards - Highgate Crescent, Gorton, Manchester: Sean Edwards was stabbed to death during a row with a man in Highgate Crescent. A man was charged with his murder in July 2005 but there are no known trial results or convictions.

Sheik Adeen Mohamed - Jameson Street, Hull, Humberside: Sheik Adeen Mohamed died after an assault. He was attacked in Jameson Street in Hull on 24 July 2003 in the early hours.

Philip Mesney - Roadhouse, Covent Garden, West End : Philip Mesney died outside the Roadhouse club in Covent Garden after allegedly being pushed on 14 July 2003. A man was tried for his manslaughter but there was insufficient evidence to convict him and he was acquitted.

Partheepan Balasingham - Palm Beach Restaurant, 17 Ealing Road, Wembley: Partheepan Balasingham was attacked outside the Palm Beach restaurant in Ealing Road, Wembley at about 1am on 8 June 2003. He had been attacked by a group of men outside the restaurant with a variety of weapons including swords, a bottle and an axe.

Stephen Hilder - Hibaldstow Airfield, Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire: Stephen Hilder died after he went skydiving with a parachute that had been sabotaged. An open verdict was recorded after it was suggested that he might have sabotaged his parachute himself to make his suicide look like murder.

Darren Manders - Starvation Clump, Nunthorpe: Darren Manders body was found under a pile of logs at Starvation Clump in Nunthorpe on 2 July 2003 at around 10.30am. He died from head injuries having been beaten to death.

David Kelly - Harrowdown Hill, Southmoor, Oxfordshire: David Kelly died mysteriously in a wood in July 2003. He had gone out for a walk from his house and was found dead the next morning in a wood a few miles away.

Joseph Cohen - Rosedale House, Manor Road, Stamford Hill, Stoke Newington: Joseph Cohen was stabbed to death in his flat at Rosedale House, Manor Road, Stamford. The police forced their way into his flat on 20 June 2003 and found him dead. He had been stabbed over 20 times and it was thought that he had been dead for a couple of days.  He was found in a pool of blood on the floor in his bedroom, fully dressed.

Michael Austin - Farringdon Underground Station, Cowcross Street, London: Michael Austin was attacked by two men outside Farringdon Underground Station just after midnight on 12 June 2003. It was thought that the men had beaten him with an iron bar.

Anthony Curtis - Manchester Canal, Water Street, Castlefield : Anthony Curtis was found dead in the Manchester Canal near Water Street in Castleford on 15 June 2003. He had been on prison leave at the time after previously having been convicted of the manslaughter of 28-year-old Ben Kamanalagi in Salford in 2001. He had been convicted alongside another man.

Bashir Estor - South Esk Road, Forest Gate: Bashir Estor was hacked to death with an axe. He was thought to have been murdered on 13 June 2003. His body was found on 14 June 2003 in South Esk Road, Forest Gate by passers-by who found a large blue, striped duvet bundle which they had unwrapped to reveal a body.

Alec Leslie - London: The death of Alec Leslie was flagged as undetected by the Metropolitan Police in a Freedom Of Information request but no further information is known.

Neil Nortrop - Greenwich: Neil Nortrop vanished on 10 June 2003. He was last seen when he left his mother's house in Briston to go and see friends in Greenwich and Dartford.

Hisham Ibrahim - Caledonian Road, Islington, London: Hisham Ibrahim was beaten to death by a group of white people who had accused him of trying to steal or take their cab in Caledonian Road, Islington on 9 June 2003. He died from a brain haemorrhage later the same day at Whittington Hospital in Highgate.

Joseph Montague - Newdigate Road, Foleshill, Coventry, West Midlands: Joseph Montague was shot in his silver Ford Focus car outside his house in Newdigate Road, Foleshill on 8 June 2003. He had been a boxing trainer.

Kishokumar Balachandiran - River Roding, Wanstead, London: Cisho Kumar Balachandiran was found in the River Roding in Wanstead, East London. He was taken to hospital where he died a week later.

Balkaran Deep Singh - Western Road, Southall, West London: Balkaran Singh was killed in a street fight. Balkaran Singh had been with four friends when they decided to go to a burger shop in Western Road, Southall. Whilst there they were confronted by a larger group of Asians and they were heard to be insulting each other and saying things like 'F*** you mother' and 'F*** your sister'.

Fifi Mwenya - Dartmouth Arms, Bidder Street, Canning Town, East London: Fifi Mwenya was killed in a fight. The main suspect who was charged with his murder died in prison. Another man was also charged with murder but the charge was dropped after he admitted affray.

You Yi He - BRB Bar, Gerrard Street, Chinatown, London: You Yi He was shot while drinking at the BRB Bar on Gerrard Street in Chinatown, London, on 3 June 2003. He was shot in the hand and chest by two men at about 5pm.

Denis Hales - Merseyside: The case of Denis Hales was reported as being unsolved by the Liverpool Echo in 2020 but nothing more is known.

Brett Youngs - Northbrook Road, Lewisham: Brett Youngs was beaten to death and set on fire at a squat that he was living in on 27 May 2003. He died from head injuries in his bed after which the house was set on fire at about 4.30am. A burnt baseball bat was found in his room which was thought to have been the murder weapon. After he was murdered petrol had been poured over his body and bed and set alight.

Jason Fearon - Turnmills Club, 63b Clerkenwell Road, Farringdon, London: Jason Fearon was shot outside the Turnmills club in Clerkenwell on 12 April 2003. He was in the reception area at about 2.30am when around eight men burst into the club and fired several shots. Jason Fearon and another man, who was thought to have been the intended target, tried to get away in an Audi TT car but they were chased by some people in a BMW car through Clerkenwell. The men in the BMW car fired shots at the Audi TT car which hit Jason Fearon.

Otis Taylor - Sassoon House, St Marys Road, Peckham: Otis Taylor was shot in the head in the stairwell of a block of flats. He was shot at about 1am in the stairwell of Sassoon House in St Mary's Road, Peckham at about 1am on 21 May 2003. The police were called out at 4.24am and he was confirmed dead at the scene.

Viola Mead - Dobbins Lane, Wendover: Viola Mead was attacked in her home in Dobbins Lane, Wendover, and taken to Stoke Mandeville Hospital where she died a month later. She was followed back to her house on Sunday, 27 April 2003 at about 3.30pm and attacked. She later died on 15 May 2003.

Gilberto Amore - London: The death of Gilberto Amore was flagged as undetected by the Metropolitan Police in a Freedom Of Information request but no further information is known.

Daniel Entwistle - Copperfield Avenue, Great Yarmouth: Daniel Entwistle went missing from his home on 3 May 2003, which was a bank holiday. He was last seen on CCTV footage in Blencowes, a store near his home at 5.05pm. The shop was about a minute ride from his home.

Mosheanyo Cameron - Blackbird Leys Community Centre, Blackbird Leys : Mosheanyo Cameron was stabbed outside the Blackbird Leys community centre in Blackbird Leys on 30 April 2003. A man was tried for his murder but acquitted. He was said to have stabbed Mosheanyo Cameron during a row.

Andrew Dill - Birmingham New Street, Birmingham: Andrew Dill went missing. He was last known to have taken a train from Hednesford to Birmingham New Street on 28 April 2003.

Natalia Wilkanowska - Icknield Way, Luton: Natalia Wilkanowska was found dead under some rubble at a house in Icknield Way, Luton, on 9 December 2015. She was also known as Natalia Doherty.

Stephen Colby - Audley Street, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk: Stephen Colby was murdered in his home at Audley Street, Great Yarmouth, having been battered to death. He found lying face-down on the floor of his living room in a pool of blood in the early hours of 11 April 2003.

Dawn Bashir - Lansdowne Road, Tottenham : Dawn Bashir was knocked down by two boy racers in Lansdowne Road, Tottenham at about 2.45pm on 9 April 2003. She later died in hospital at 1am.

Denise Clough and Mark McCafferty - Broadstone Way, Holme Wood, Bradford: Denise Clough and her 6-year-old son Mark McCafferty died following a fire at their home in Broadstone Way, Bradford, on 8 April 2003. An open verdict was recorded, it being noted that the cause of fire could have been either arson or a discarded cigarette.

Kavian Francis-Hopwood - Donovan Court, Exton Crescent, Stonebridge Estate, Brent, London: Kavian Francis-Hopwood was shot on the Stonebridge Estate in Brent on 2 April 2003 at 12.40pm. He was shot just outside of Donovan Court on Exton Crescent which has since been demolished. There were said to have been over 250 homes overlooking the scene but no witnesses were ever found.

Ernest Wilson - St Mungos Hostel, Clapham, South London : Ernest Wilson was assaulted at a bus stop and later died after staggering back to his room. He had been staying at St Mungo's hostel in Clapham at the time.

David McCallum - Rowardennan, Loch Lomond: David McCallum was last seen near Loch Lomond on 30 March 2003. He was from  Clydebank.

Denzil Sutherland - Walthamstow Market, Erskine Road, Walthamstow, London: Denzil Sutherland was stabbed to death in Erskine Road, Walthamstow. A man was tried for his murder but acquitted. The man and his friend were said to have attacked Denzil Sutherland near Walthamstow Market on 29 March 2003 during which the man had stabbed him. However, the man denied stabbing Denzil Sutherland or seeing anyone else do it. He was said to have punched, kicked and stabbed Denzil Sutherland. He was cleared of both murder and manslaughter.

Hurschell Broderick - Harlesden High Street, Harlesden: Hurschell Broderick was shot in his Honda Civic as he was parked up outside the Sycamore Tree restaurant in Harlesden High Street on 27 March 2003. Two men were charged with his murder, however, the trial results are not known, although one of the men was later convicted of a 2004 murder in which no reference to any other convictions was made and it's thought that Hurschell Broderick is unsolved.

Peter Singleton - Grange Cross Hey, Column Road, West Kirby : Peter Singleton was attacked as he was helping his son out of a car around 7.30pm on 27 March 2003 outside his flat. He was then chased through neighbour’s gardens by a man and shot twice in the back. After he fell, he was shot three more times in the head at point blank range.

Mohammed Amin - Green Lane, Small Heath, West Midlands: Mohammed Amin was found beaten to death with a dumb bell at his home in Green Lane, Small Heath on 22 March 2003. It was thought that he had been murdered nine days earlier. He had suffered severe facial and head injuries in what was described as a chaotic and spontaneous attack.

Thilipan Thangavadivel - Ilford, London: The death of Thilipan Thangavadivel was flagged as undetected by the Metropolitan Police in a Freedom Of Information request but no further information is known. He was thought to have been the victim of organised crime in the Tamil community.

Hayley Day - A2070, Lydd: Hayley Day was killed in a car crash on the A2070 between Lydd and Ashford on Sunday 16 March 2003, which was caused by a man driving dangerously who was never traced. She had been a passenger in a red Escort van which was forced to swerve by the driver of a blue Peugeot 406 car and crash into another car.

Sika Michaels - Clive Road, Dulwich, London: Sika Michaels was shot outside his home in Clive Road, Dulwich at about 10.30pm on 15 March 2003. It was thought that he had got into a row with two or three black men during which a struggle broke out and he was shot. The police said that they were looking for two black suspects.

Andrew Jones - Hanover Street, Liverpool : Andrew Jones was killed in a street fight in Liverpool city centre after being punched and hitting his head on the pavement after falling. He was found on the ground in Hanover Street at the junction with Gradwell Street just before 3.30am on Sunday, 9 March 2003 with serious head injuries. He was taken to the Royal Liverpool University Hospital where he died the next day.

Billy McPhee - Brewers Fayre Pub, Springcroft Drive, Baillieston, Glasgow: Billy McPhee was stabbed to death in the Brewers Fayre pub-restaurant in Springcroft Drive, Baillieston, Glasgow on 8 March 2003. A man was tried for his murder but acquitted.

Victoria Adu-Mensah - Horle Walk, Loughborough Road, Hertford Estate, Brixton: Victoria Adu-Mensah was tied up in her home and set on fire in Horle Walk, Loughborough Road, Hertford Estate, Brixton. She was found by firemen at her maisonette at about 9.45am on Thursday 6 March 2003.

Oxana Rodionova - 30 Ashworth Mansions, Elgin Avenue, Maida Vale, West London: Oxana Rodionova was strangled at her flat at 30 Ashworth Mansions, Elgin Avenue, Maida Vale. A man was tried for her murder but acquitted after he said that the people responsible for her death had fled the country. After being acquitted he was convicted of conspiracy to commit burglary after having admitted planning on burgling what he said he thought was an empty flat.

Darren Sherman - Manchester Road, Isle of Dogs: Darren Sherman was attacked in Manchester Road, Isle of Dogs, at around 11.40pm on 7 March 2003. He died of multiple stab wounds shortly after arriving at hospital.

Omar Mattan - West Murkle, Caithness : Omar Mattan was found dead on a beach in Scotland. An open verdict was returned.

Shaham Ali - Waverley Road, Small Heath: Shaham Ali was shot in the head on 17 March 2003 in Waverley Road, Small Heath. He later died on 24 March 2003 in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. Two men were tried for his murder but acquitted.

Janet Rushby - London: The death of Janet Rushby was flagged as undetected by the Metropolitan Police in a Freedom Of Information request but no further information is known.

Man - Manchester: The body of a man was found in a skip in Manchester on 22 February 2003. He had previously been seen in the area and it was thought that he had been a vagrant.

Mohammad Mahmood - Slough, Berkshire: Mohammed Mahmood was killed in Slough. He was stabbed to death by four masked men who were stealing his friend’s car. He was stabbed once in the chest.

Marvin Benoit - Shepherds Bush, London: Marvin Benoit was stabbed in Shepperd’s Bush. Nothing else is known about his murder.

Steven Anthony Harris - London: The death of Steven Anthony Harris was flagged as undetected by the Metropolitan Police in a Freedom Of Information request but no further information is known.

Beverley Brinkley - The Stow, Harlow, Essex: Beverley Brinkley was attacked by two men at the flats where she lived and died four days later in Addenbrooke's Hospital. She was attacked on the stairwell outside her flat at The Stow, Harlow, at about 7.45pm on 2 February 2003.

Paul Savage - Clayton Road, Mold, Flintshire: Paul Savage, a postman, was attacked with a wooden baton whilst delivering letters in Clayton Road on 4 February 2003 at around 7.15am. He was attacked as he was delivering letters to a house known as Coleshill on Clayton Road.

Margaret Muller - Victoria Park, Hackney, London: Margaret Muller was stabbed to death in Victoria Park, London, while she was jogging early in the morning of 3 February 2003. She was an American artist and had been living in Hackney in a one-bedroom studio near Victoria Park and studying at the Slade School of Art which was part of the University College London.

Lee Sheppard - European Metal Recycling, Harlesden, North London: Lee Sheppard vanished on 31 January 2003 whilst on the night shift at European Metal Recycling in Harlesden. It was initially thought that he might have run away or been the victim of foul play. It was also suspected that he might have left the facilities early in order to find sex or that he had fallen off a railway bridge. 

Mr Lowe - Cheltenham: Mr Lowe died from a suspected drugs overdose. It was thought that an unknown third party could have been responsible for administering the drugs.

Domicela Skiera - Ranelagh Road, Ealing, West London: Domicela Skiera was beaten to death in her home in Ranelagh Road, Ealing. She was found dead in her home by two lodgers at about 9.50pm on Wednesday 29 January 2003. The lodgers were Polish and spoke no English. They ran to a neighbour and tried to tell them what had happened but could not make themselves understood and ended up taking the neighbour to the house to show them Domicela Skiera's body.

Keith Webb - Ellison Road, Streatham, South London: Keith Webb was found tied up and tortured to death in his room in Streatham, South London. He was found tied up and gagged and it was thought that he had been dead for about three weeks. It was thought that he had been tortured.

David Warrilow - Willow Way, Chelmsley Wood, West Midlands : David Warrilow was run over with his own van whilst he tried to stop thieves from driving away in it. Two men were charged with his murder, but the charges were later dropped. 

Brenda Wynne - Castlefield Road, West Derby, Merseyside: Brenda Wynne was robbed in Castlefield Road, West Derby by two men and knocked to the ground on 11 January 2003.  She suffered injuries to her elbow and knee and shortly after died from a blood clot.

Man - Manchester Royal Infirmary, Manchester: The body of a man was found behind the Manchester Royal Infirmary in some bushes. It was thought that he had been sleeping rough.

Gurmail Singh - London: The death of Gurmail Singh was flagged as undetected by the Metropolitan Police in a Freedom Of Information request but no further information is known.

Edward Byrne - Yew Tree Pub, Finch Lane, Dovecot, Merseyside: Edward Byrne was shot at his local pub, the Yew Tree Pub in Finch Lane, Dovecot, on 3 January 2003. He had spent the day drinking with his family and later went to the pub to see if any of his friends were around for a drink. However, at about 11.25pm a man with a chequered scarf partially covering his face came into the pub and walked up to him, shouted an insult at him, and then shot him in the head. The man then ran off.
