Zoe Parker - River Thames, Chelsea Harbour: Zoe Parker was murdered and cut up. Her torso was found in the River Thames near Chelsea Harbour. It was thought that she had been cut in two. The upper part of her body was found in mud in the river between two moored barges, whilst the lower parts have never been found. It was thought that she had been strangled and that her body had then been cut in two with a sharp blade.
Stephen Grant - Hackney, London: Steven Grant was shot in the head outside a nightclub in Hackney. It was thought that his murder had been part of a dispute between two gangs, the Tottenham Mandem and the Hackney Boys.
Andrey Kostyken - St Olaves Road, East Ham: Andrey Kostyken was beaten to death in his home. A man was tried but acquitted. He was a Ukrainian.
Matthew Graham Ayres - Guildford, Surrey: Matthew Graham Ayres was found dead in a river at Guildford on 23 December 2000. He had several head injuries.
Gary Watkinson - Kremlin Drive, Tuebrook, Merseyside: Gary Watkinson died following a fire at a flat after it was attacked with a petrol bomb. His flat was attacked in the early hours of 25 November 2000, around 6am. He was taken to hospital where he was put into a coma and later died on 23 December 2000.
Anthony Rose-Windon - Chimes, 231 Lower Clapton Road, Lower Clapton: Anthony Rose-Windon was shot just after leaving the Chimes nightclub at 231 Lower Clapton Road on 16 December 2000. After being shot he managed to crawl to Kenning Hall Road where he died.
Ross Doyle - Pegasus Road, Blackbird Leys, Oxford: Ross Doyle was knocked over and killed by joy riders. He was run over by someone driving a stolen red Vauxhall Astra car at about 8.45pm on 13 December 2000. The car had been speeding along Pegasus Road at about 80mph. The car had lost control and veered onto the pavement as he was walking along it.
Mark Anthony Corley - Bolam, Darlington, County Durham: Mark Corley was found dead in a ditch on farmland south of Bolam near Darlington just off the B6275. He had been shot dead in the head at point blank range with a sawn-off shotgun and was thought to have been the victim of a gangland killing. He had gone missing in July 2000 and it was thought that he had been shot around that time.
Richard White - Brixton, London: Richard White was shot dead in Brixton. He was shot twice in the neck as he was going to meet a friend in Brixton.
Steve David Jindu - Horsenden Lane North, Horsenden Hill, Greenford: Steve Jindu was found dead on Horsenden Hill. He had been stabbed to death and his body was said to have been mutilated.
Garfield Nandram - London: The death of Garfield Nandram was reported as undetected in a Metropolitan Police Freedom of Information request but no further information is known.
Wade Hewitt - Barking, East London: Wade Hewitt was stabbed on the top deck of a bus. He had been travelling on a No. 5 bus at midnight through Barking when he was attacked by two black men.
Kenneth Beagle - Oldchurch Hospital, Romford, Essex: Kenneth Beagle was shot in the head at point blank range in a hospital car park. He had been paying for a parking ticket in the car park of the Oldchurch Hospital in Romford when he was shot in the head.
Vincent Clay - Amersham Street, Salford, Greater Manchester : Vincent Clay was shot in Amersham Street, Salford in November 2001 as he was talking to his girlfriend and some other people. He tried to flee the gunman but was hit in the head and chest.
Manokumar Kumar - North Road, Edmonton, North London : Manokumar Kumar died after being attacked with an axe in his home between 29 October and 1 November 2000. His arm was almost severed, and he bled to death.
Clay Lee Benjamin - Granby Street, Toxteth: Clay Benjamin was stabbed through the heart on 21 October 2000. He had been at a blues party at the time in Granby Street, Toxteth.
Alan P Decabral - Warren Retail Park, Ashford, Kent: Alan Decabral was shot while sat in his son’s car in the car park of Halfords in Ashford, Kent on 15 October 2000. He was an antiques dealer and car trader and had been involved in the court case against Kenneth Noye who was convicted of the murder of a man that he stabbed on a motorway.
Tangor Gokkusu - Finsbury Park: Tangor Gokkusu was stabbed in Finsbury Park on 3 October 2000 at about 5.40pm at the junction of Green Lanes and Brownswood Road. He had been making his way home from college at the time when he was confronted by a group of youths who were thought to have followed him off of a No. 141 bus with whom he had a brief argument. During the confrontation, one of the youths stabbed him in the neck.
Jason Paul - Convent Way, Southall: Jason Paul was stabbed outside a block of flats in Convent Way, Southall at about 2pm on 2 October 2000. The police said that they were looking to trace six to eight Asian men aged between 20 and 25, that were seen in the area a while earlier at about 1.30pm.
Unknown - Clapton: An unknown man was shot in the street in Clapton in October 2000. He was shot as he was walking down the road.
Barbara Harper - Brixton Road, London: Barbara Harper was run over by a stolen Honda VFR400 motorcycle in June 2000 and later died from her injuries three months later on 25 September 2000. The motorcycle owner was tried for causing death by dangerous driving but acquitted after he said that it wasn't him and that his bike had been stolen.
Vicky Glass - Danby, North York Moors, North Yorkshire: Vicky Glass was found dead on a moor on 3 November 2000 by a dog walker in a stream, six weeks after she disappeared after a night out. She was last seen on 24 September 2000 in Middlesbrough town centre after celebrating her 21st birthday. The last known sighting of her was at about 4am on 24 September 2000 when she was dropped off by a taxi outside the Shipmate pub in Union Street, Middlesbrough. At some point she had been seen leaving a house with an unknown man in Princes Road, Middlesbrough, possibly before she was seen getting out of the taxi.
Thomas Ramsey - Levenshulme : Thomas Ramsey was shot in a park in Levenshulme on 19 September 2000. He was shot in the head and neck at close range with a semi-automatic handgun.
Clifford Clarke - High Street East, Uppingham: Clifford Clarke was stabbed to death in his flat in High Street East, Uppingham on Sunday 10 September 2000. He had been stabbed 13 times about the chest and neck and it was thought he had been dead for about 4 days by the time he was found.
Susan Kelly - Blessington Road, Anfield, Merseyside: Susan Kelly was found dead in an alley in Anfield. She was a prostitute. Her throat had been cut.
Ron Fuller - Parkside, Essex: Ron Fuller was shot on his doorstep in Parkside, Essex on 29 August 2000. It was thought that he had been shot by a hitman. Three shots were heard. It was thought that his killer had waited for him outside his home.
Greg Watson - Kensal Road, North Kensington: Greg Watson was stabbed on his way home from the Notting Hill carnival at about 10pm. A man was tried for his murder but acquitted. The judge said that the evidence against him was uncertain and inconsistent and he stopped the case and instructed the jury to find the man not guilty.
Abdul Bhatti - Blenheim Crescent, Notting Hill, London: Abdul Bhatti was attacked at the Notting Hill Carnival in Blenheim Crescent, Notting Hill on 28 August 2000. He was beaten and kicked by a gang of up to 50 young men. Police filmed the group rampaging through the carnival shortly before Abdul Bhatti was attacked.
Rhys Gabriel - Kent: Rhys Gabriel died from being shaken and physically assaulted. Nothing more is known.
Wayne Ogilvie Thomas - Homefield House, Hazelwood Crescent, North Kensington: Wayne Thomas was shot in the face at his flat in Homefield House, Hazelwood Crescent, North Kensington on 19 August 2000. He had been a drug dealer selling crack cocaine and was said to have trod on the toes of other drug dealers.
Paul Wright - Garth Road, Cricklewood: Paul Wright was stabbed to death at the junction of Garth Road and Cloister Road in Cricklewood on 17 August 2000. He had been on a night out with friends at The Castle pub in Finchley Road, Golders Green and was attacked on his way home after getting into an argument.
Jonathan D Bristow - Sheerness, Kent: Jonathan Bristow was shot in the head and dumped in a river. He was said to have been the victim of a professional execution. It was thought that he had not known what had hit him. It was thought that he had been shot with a shotgun.
Paul Rogers - Catharine Street, Toxteth: Paul Rogers was shot in the stomach at his flat in Catharine Street, Toxteth during what was described as a bungled robbery by two men on 5 August 2000. One of the men suspected of shooting him, Hussain Obad, was later himself murdered in February 2001. His murder is also unsolved.
Beatrice Wilson - Millfield, Creekmoor, Poole, Dorset: Beatrice Wilson was stabbed to death in her sheltered accommodation in Millfield. She had been stabbed ten times as she lay in bed in her brain, chest and throat. She was found dead the next day by relatives.
Ali Dal - London: The death of Ali Dal was reported as undetected by the Metropolitan Police in a Freedom of Information request. No further information is known.
Iwona Kaminska - Hammersmith: Iwona Kaminska disappeared in July 2000. She was last seen in Hammersmith after finishing work at 5pm on 13 July 2000. She was caught on CCTV footage earlier in the morning going to work but no other CCTV evidence was found.
Duc Quan Pham - London: The death of Duc Quan Pham was recorded as undetected in a Metropolitan Police Freedom of Information request. No further information is known.
Andrew Leighton - Craven Street, Birkenhead, Merseyside: Andrew Leighton died from an overdose of anti-depressants at his home in Craven Street, Birkenhead. A couple were charged with his manslaughter by gross negligence, but nothing more is known, however, his death is still reported as being unsolved.
June Driver - Airedale General Hospital, Keighley: June Driver, Eva Blackburn and Annie Midgley died in hospital and were thought to have been poisoned. A nurse was charged with their murders but she accidentally overdosed on anti-depressants and died before her trial. At the nurses inquest, it was ruled that her death was accidental and not suicide.
Menelik Robinson - Upper Clapton Road, Hackney, London: Menelik Robinson was shot in a car by two men on a motorbike on 25 June 2000. He had been driving his red BMW convertible car along Upper Clapton Road when two motorbikes came up behind him. They each had two men on them who were described as black.
Karen Chandler - Salisbury Plain, Wiltshire : Karen Chandler was found dead in a burnt out car on Salisbury Plain on 23 June 2000 A 64-year-old farm labourer was charged with her murder but acquitted. All the evidence against him was described as circumstantial.
Albert Lutterodt - Barrie House, Park Road North, Acton, West London: Albert Lutterodt was shot at a flat in Acton. He had been shot once in the head. The police were called after neighbours heard a volley of shots from the flat.
Kellie Pratt - Queens Road, Norwich: Kellie Pratt disappeared from Norwich where she was working in the red-light district. Her body has never been found and it is thought that she has been murdered.
Jacob Bournkamp - New Cross Road, Deptford, London: Jacob Bournkamp was stabbed in the street by one of two men that walked past him and a friend. He was also known as Jaap.
Shkelquim Brakka - Kings Lynn, Norfolk: Shkelquim Brakka was stabbed outside a nightclub in Kings Lynn on 4 June 2000. He was a Kosovan refugee and had come to the United Kingdom illegally.
Symon Simson - Salisbury Mews, Finsbury Park, London: Symon Simson was found in Salisbury Mews with serious head injuries on 4 May 2000 and later died at the North Middlesex Hospital on 17 May 2000. It was thought that he had been attacked shortly before near the junction of Salisbury Road with Green Lanes in Finsbury Park after which he had gone into Salisbury Mews.
Clifton Junior Bryan and Dennis Wilson - Cadum Walk, Longsight, Manchester: Clifton Bryan and Dennis Wilson were found dead in a burnt-out car in Darfield Street, Harehills. However, it was determined that they had been shot at a house in Cadum Walk in Longsight, Manchester and then taken to Leeds where they were dumped.
Wlodzimierz Alesandor Komisarek - Edison Road, Hornsey: Wlodzimierz Alesandor Komisarek was killed in his home in Edison Road, Hornsey on 15 May 2000, by a burglar. A man was tried but found not guilty. The man tried was Wlodzimierz Komisarek's lodger, but he said that he was nowhere near the scene of the crime at the time.
Cheryll Grover - Audley Close, Turnpike, Newbury, Berkshire: Cheryll Grover was strangled in her bedroom in Audley Close, Turnpike, Newbury. She was found dead by her estranged husband on 13 May 2000 at her home after he could not get in contact with her. He had got into her home by climbing up the drainpipe.
David Lees - Tamworth Grove, Moreton, Merseyside: David Lees was stabbed in Tamworth Grove, Moreton. A man was tried for his murder but acquitted after claiming he stabbed him in self-defence.
Frank McPhie - Guthrie Street, Maryhill : Frank McPhie was shot through the head by a sniper in Guthrie Street, Maryhill on 10 May 2000 at about 9pm. The sniper had been on the eighth floor of a nearby block of flats where people used to hang out washing.
Nicola Ray - Basildon: Nicola Ray disappeared whilst on her way home after a night out on 2 May 2000. She had been out for the night with friends in Basildon, drinking at the Moon on the Square pub, and had gone back to a friend’s house in Devlins, Felmores, afterwards. After leaving her friend’s house in the early hours of the morning she was never seen again.
Frank Birley - Sugar Well Road, Meanwood: Frank Birley was shot on the night of Friday 14 April 2000 in Sugar Well Road, Meanwood. It was thought that he might have been shot by an accomplice that he had been out with who had shot him as he slipped and fell. It was said that they had been out on a punishment raid and just before Frank Birley was shot, a 17-year-old youth was shot in the leg.
David Anthony Dann - Prendergast Road, Blackheath: David Dann was shot as he came out of some flats in Prendergast Road, Blackheath just after midnight on 4 April 2000. No one was ever charged with his murder.
Carl Patrick Small - Brixton Road, Brixton, South London: Carl Small was stabbed to death in Brixton Road near the junction with Stockwell Road on 8 April 2000 at about 5.30am. He was stabbed during an altercation between two groups of men.
Sarah Benford - Kettering: Sarah Benford went missing from a care home in Northampton in April 2000. A murder enquiry was opened three years later.
Terence David Gibson - London: The death of Terence David Gibson was reported as undetected by the Metropolitan Police in a Freedom of Information request. No further information is known.
Craig Mirfield - Oakwood Lane, Gipton, Leeds: Craig Mirfield was shot in his car near his home in Oakwood Lane, Gipton on 15 March 2000. He was trying to escape his killer at the time. He was shot once in the chest or head.
Brian Harris - Brixton, London: Brian Harris was found shot dead in his home in Brixton. His death was investigated by Operation Trident, the police department tasked with investigating black on black crime.
Michael Ennis - Merseyside: Michael Ennis was reported as being the victim of an unsolved killing, but no further details are known. He was killed in Merseyside on 2 March 2000.
Christopher Clarke - Fozzies Nightclub, Regents Park Road, Small Heath, Birmingham: Christopher Clarke was stabbed at Fozzies Nightclub in Small Heath on 1 March 2000. A man was tried for his murder but acquitted, although he was convicted of affray and sentenced to 30-months.
Stephen McCallum - London: The death of Stephen McCallum was reported as being undetected in a Metropolitan Police Freedom of Information request. No further information is known.
William Bruce Malcolm - Forest View Road, Forest Gate, London: William Bruce Malcolm was shot at his flat in Forest View Road, Forest Gate, London, on the night of Wednesday 16 February 2000 at about 9.30pm. He was a convicted paedophile and had been associated with one of the country’s largest paedophile rings.
Karenina Longe - Sheldon, Birmingham: Karenina Longe died from drinking sulphuric acid after going to see her former boyfriend. Her former boyfriend was tried for her murder but acquitted. He said that she had drunk the sulphuric acid deliberately.
Lee Robert King - Penistone Road, Park End, Middlesbrough: Lee King was shot in Penistone Road, Park End on 28 January 2000. A man was tried for his murder but acquitted after he said that he was somewhere else at the time.
Leza McCormack - Cardrew Close, North Finchley: Leza McCormack went missing on 28 January 2000. Her former boyfriend was suspected for her murder but committed suicide in Bedford Jail by slashing his wrists.
Mark Levy - Denham, Buckinghamshire: Mark Levy was thought to have been murdered at a farm in Denham, Buckinghamshire. Several people were convicted for his murder in 2002 but a retrial was ordered, and several trials followed resulting in the men being acquitted in 2007. One of the trials collapsed after a woman juror sent a message to the judge saying that some of the other jurors were badgering and intimidating other members of the jury to reach a particular verdict. In her note she said that one of the jurors had said:
Martin Lavelle - Meyrick Street, Willesden, Northwest London: Martin Lavelle died 11 days after being mugged in Meyrick Street. He was found in the street with head injuries on 4 January 2000 between 11pm and 11.30pm and then taken home by a friend who left him there after telling him that he was fine. He had been attacked at the junction of Willesden High Road and Meyrick Road.
Gabriel Egharevba - Coverdale Crescent, Longsight: Gabriel Egharevba was shot as he rode his bike along a street in Longsight on 12 January 2000. He was shot in the back in Coverdale Crescent at about 10pm as he rode his mountain bike to his mother's house. Six shots had been fired at him from a 9mm self-loading pistol by a person from a motorbike or scooter. The gunman, along with an accomplice also on a motorbike or scooter, was said then to have ridden off at speed along New Bank Street. The man was said to have fired two bursts.
Xenya Khan - Redmead Road, Hayes: Xenya Khan was found strangled in the back of her Mercedes convertible car in Redmead Road, Hayes. She was dressed in her nightie and an overcoat. The court heard that she was a shoplifter and was involved in cheque book fraud and wrote fraudulent cheques and that shortly before her death she had been arrested. It was suggested that she was murdered by an associate who she had got into trouble with.
Roger Ormsby - Milton Grove, Whalley Range: Roger Ormsby was found dead in a burning car in Whalley Range on 5 January 2000. His BMW car was found on fire in an alley off of Milton Grove, Whalley Range on the night of Wednesday 5 January 2000.
Lola Shenkoya - Ealing, West London: Lola Shenkoya was last seen in Ealing on Monday 3 January 2000. At the time she had been working for Entertainment UK in Perivale as a temp and was thought to have left between 4pm and 4.30pm.
Man and Wife - unknown: A Man and Wife were found dead. The case was considered a murder/suicide but it was later claimed in August 2020 that they could have been murdered.
Daniel Brown - Plaza Club, Handsworth: Daniel Brown was shot at the Plaza Club in Handsworth sometime in 2000. A man that was suspected of having been involved with his murder but who was cleared was later shot dead in 2002 in a club in Birmingham.
Phillip Anthony Wilson - Oxford, Oxfordshire: The murder of Phillip Anthony Wilson was reported as unsolved in a Thames Valley Police Freedom of Information Request. He was beaten to death with a blunt instrument in Oxford sometime in 2000.
