Emma Kennedy - Hownsgill Viaduct, Consett: Emma Kennedy was found dead at the bottom of the Hownsgill Viaduct. Her death was considered suicide, but her family say that she was thrown off.

Babatunde Oba - Broadway Boulevard Club, Ealing: Batatunde Oba was attacked at a nightclub on 28 December 1999 and taken to Ealing Hospital where he died the following morning. Four people were convicted of his murder in February 2000 but later had their convictions quashed in 2004 after it was heard that evidence given by an expert witness on CCTV images was flawed.

Flamur Daci - Gravesend, Kent: Flamur Daci was murdered with a sharp instrument. He was attacked at the Tesco supermarket in Gravesend on 28 December 1999 during a brawl which continued near the railway station.

Simon Brown - Old Library Centre, Cheetham Hill: Simon Brown was shot in the head. It was said that he didn't have any connections with gangs or drugs and that it was thought that he might have crossed a hardened criminal.

Corey Wayne Allen - Handsworth Road, Birmingham: Corey Wayne Allen was shot outside a community centre in the middle of Handsworth Road. At the time he had been armed with a shotgun which it was said his killers had wrenched from him and then shot him with it and another gun.

Jeremiah Okey - Plaistow: Jeremiah Okey was murdered in Plaistow, London on 23 December 1999. A man was tried for his murder in March 2001 but acquitted. The man that was cleared of his murder was tried for another murder in 2014, but cleared of that, as well as a third murder in 2015 for which he was also cleared.

Kelvin Jackson - Sidcup, Kent: Kelvin Jackson died following a row at a post-office over a bus pass.

Emily Messer - Rochester, Kent: Emily Messer was shaken to death, having died from brain damage. Her inquest returned a verdict of unlawful killing, but no one was arrested although the injuries were inflicted whilst only her parents and two other children were in the house.

John Roche - London: The death of John Roche was reported as undetected by the Metropolitan Police in a Freedom of Information request. No other details are known.

Fatima Lyons - London: The death of Fatima Lyons was reported as undetected by the Metropolitan Police in a Freedom of Information request. No other details are known.

Zac Stewart - Tooting, South London: Zac Stewart was stabbed in Tooting.

Joseph Nathaniel Evans and Tommy George Hole - Beckton Arms, Canning Town : Joseph Nathaniel Evans and Tommy George Hole were shot in the Beckton Arms in Canning Town by two masked gunmen. They had been watching football at the time on the Sunday afternoon.

Graham Howard Arthur James - Point Nightclub, Stoke Newington, London: Graham Howard Arthur James was shot in the chest at the Point nightclub in Stoke Newington during an argument. Graham James was a former soldier and had run his own security business, working in London, but his family was from Liverpool.

Alan Rosser - Imperial Hotel, Back Eaves Street, Blackpool : Alan Rosser was shot outside his garage, Imperial Engineering on Back Eaves Street, North Shore, Blackpool, on 12 November 1999 at about 6.30pm. Two men were charged with his murder, but the case against them was later dropped after the judge agreed with the defences claims.

Man - Birchills, Walsall: A man was shot while sitting in a Ford Sierra car. The man was said to have been shot dead at close range near a row of shops at about 6.30pm.

Man - Nechells : A man was shot in Nechells. The incident in Nechells happened on the same day as a similar shooting incident in Birchills, Walsall but were said by the police to not be connected.

Robert Spencer - Kempe Road, Queens Park, London: Robert Spencer was shot in his Ford Escort XR3i in Kempe Road, Queens Park, on 5 November 1999. He was known as Peter 'Juppy' Clark as well as Robert 'Patter' Spencer.

Judah Dewar - Bletchley Close, Longsight, Manchester: Judah Dewar was shot by his car in Bletchley Close, Longsight on Thursday 28 October 1999. He was found dead, slumped on the ground by his car with the car door still open.

Vincent Shaw - London: The death of Vincent Shaw was reported as undetected by the Metropolitan Police in a Freedom of Information request. No further details are known.

Kevin Hector - Golders Green Road, Golders Green, Northwest London: Kevin Hector was shot whilst sitting in a parked silver Ford Focus car in Golders Green Road, just off the North Circular in northwest London on Thursday 20 October 1999. He had been sitting in the car at about 11.30pm with a friend when a gunman started shooting at them. Kevin Hector was hit four times and was taken to hospital where he died an hour later. His friend was also shot but survived.

Gerald Rae - Drysdale Street, Yoker, Glasgow: Gerald Rae was found dead in the front seat of his car on 17 October 1999. The police later said that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death although his cause of death could not be determined. They also said that there was no evidence that he had died in suspicious circumstances.

David Ferguson - Calder Street, Mossend, Lanarkshire: David Ferguson was found hacked to death on a footpath near the railway line off Calder Road. He had been hit 25 times with a machete. It was thought that he had been lured there by someone that he knew and then attacked.

John Henry Nisbet and William Lindsay - Elphinstone, Tranent: William Lindsay and John Nisbet were shot and set on fire in Elphinstone, Tranent. Their bodies were found burnt on a hilltop near Elphinstone near the B6414. Their burnt out white Peugeot 406 car, registration number P935 TSU, was later found near Airdrie.

Patrick Williams - Chatham, Kent: Patrick Williams was beaten with a baseball bat. He was left lying in the road after the attack.

Patrick Spencer and Margaret Spencer - Sandiford Terrace, Manston, Leeds: Margaret Spencer and Patrick Spencer died after their house was set on fire. They were rescued from the fire at their home but later died in St James’s Hospital in Leeds from smoke inhalation.

Claudio Anunciacao - Wayland House, Sidney Road, Brixton: Claudio Anunciacao died from a herion overdose. His death was described as suspicious.

Darren Pearman - Epping Forest Country Club, Chigwell, Essex: Darren Pearman was stabbed outside the Epping Forest Country Club. Two men were suspected of his murder, but no charges were ever made. One of the men, Ron Fuller, was later shot outside his house in what is now also an unsolved murder.

Junior George Collins - St Agnes Place, Kennington, Southeast London: Junior George Collins was shot through the door of a Rastafarian Tabernacle during a fire fight. Several people were tried but no one was found guilty. Junior Collins had gone to the Tabernacle to discuss a music project with a temple elder. He had been visiting from Jamaica at the time. The former president from the Ethiopian World Federation, a religious group, had also been visiting at the time.

Unidentified Male - Halse Lane, Winsford Hill, Exford, Somerset: The body of an unidentified man was found on land off Halse Lane, near Winsford Hill, in Exmoor National Park on 13 March 2002. It was thought that he had been dead for at least two years and in was estimated that his death had taken place in September 1999.

Steven Devaney - London: The death of Steven Devaney was reported as being undetected by the Metropolitan Police in a Freedom of Information request. No other information known.

David Barnshaw - Welkin Road, Lower Bredbury, Stockport: David Barnshaw was burned to death in the back of a black Ford Orion car on an industrial estate in Lower Bredbury, Stockport. It was thought that he had been forced to drink petrol beforehand as petrol was found in both his stomach and lungs.

Victoria Hall - Creeting St Peter, Suffolk: Victoria Hall went missing after a night out in Felixstowe and was found dead in a stream 25 miles away in Creeting St Peter near Stowmarket five days later. A man was tried for her murder but acquitted in November 2001.

Michael John Smith - Canterbury, Kent: Michael John Smith was shot in Canterbury. The details were released in a Freedom of Information Request by the Kent Police.

Ian Roach - Katherine Road, Islington, London: Ian Roach was stabbed in the street when he went out for some cigarettes. He had just become engaged to a girl about six hours before he was murdered and was having an engagement party when he went out to buy some cigarettes and never returned.

Martin Joyce - Pollard Street, Ancoats, Manchester: Martin Joyce disappeared in 1999 and in 2016 the police said they were considering him murdered, and searched a pub in Manchester. He was last seen on 5 September 1999 at the Bank of England Pub on Pollard Street in Ancoats, Manchester.

David Rogers - Albion Square, Hackney: David Rogers was stabbed to death in Albion Square, Hackney.

Christopher Swarray - Ladywood, Birmingham: Christopher Swarray was shot in his VW Golf car in Ladywood. He was said to have been a member of the Gooch Close gang.

David Anthony Scott - Monument Way, Tottenham: David Scott was stabbed in an underpass in Monument Way, Tottenham. In 2011 a man was arrested and tried for his murder, but the case was dropped after new scientific evidence was found.

John Neale and Pauline Neale - Blythe Close, Catford: John Neale and Pauline Neale were stabbed to death at their home. A 43-year old garage manager from Bromley was charged with their murders in September 2003 but no trial results are known.

Anthony Cook - Kincardine Street, Chorlton-on-Medlock, Manchester: Antony Cook was shot dead in a car in Kincardine Street, Chorlton-on-Medlock, following a high-speed car chase through Manchester. He had been a passenger in a black Volkswagen Jetta car that was being chased through the city centre by a grey BMW car at about 12.30am on 15 August 1999. The driver of the Volkswagen turned into Kincardine Street where he then crashed into the back of another car and then hit a lamppost, coming to a stop.

ONiell Anthony Laylor - 16 Dickens House, Malvern Road, Kilburn, London: O’Niell Anthony Laylor was shot at a party at a flat at 16 Dickens House, Kilburn on 15 August 1999. He was shot at about 3am in the flat whilst attending a party and afterwards staggered out onto the second floor balcony and tried to escape but was chased and shot dead as he lay on the ground. He had been shot three times.

Dorrie McKie - Leaf Street, Hulme, Manchester: Dorrie McKie was shot in Leaf Street, Hulme, at about 11.15pm on 3 August 1999. He was shot by three youths on bikes. He was hit by three bullets and died at the scene on the side of the road. The three youths had been wearing bandanas and had chased Dorrie McKie from a car in Hulme where he lived.

Unknown - Lower Clapton Road, Clapton, London: An unknown man was shot in the street. He was one of a number of people murdered around the Lower Clapton Road which led to the area being called Murder Mile.

Martin Bennett - Hartington Street, Moss Side : Martin Bennett was shot in the chest as he walked through Hartington Street in Moss Side in the evening of 31 July 1999. After being shot he managed to stagger into Great Western Street where he was put in a car and driven to the Manchester Royal Infimrary where he died soon after.

Patrick Logan - Cuddington Avenue, Withington, Manchester: Patrick Logan was shot dead in his home. He had lived on Cuddington Avenue in Withington and had been in bed at the time with his fiancee when some men wearing masks broke in and shot him five times in the chest.

Nathan Cawley - Mirage Nightclub, William Street, Windsor: Nathan Cawley was murdered on the dance floor of the Mirage nightclub in Windsor. He was shot at point-blank range.

Mary Doran OBrien - London: The death of Mary Doran OBrien was reported as undetected by the Metropolitan Police in a Freedom of Information request. No further details are known.

Daniel Moore - London: The death of Daniel Moore was reported as undetected by the Metropolitan Police in a Freedom of Information request. No further details are known.

Henry Lawes - St Marys Road, Harlesden: Henry Lawes was shot twice in a drive-by shooting. He had been walking down the street when a blue Daewoo Matiz car drove by with five men in it and started shooting at him. He then ran off and the men got out of their car and started to chase him. However, Henry Lawes tripped and fell and when the men caught up with him they shot him dead.

Barrington Page - River Lea, Edmonton, North London: Barrington Page was found in the River Lea. His head and hands had been cut off.

Clayton King - Acton Lane, Acton, West London: Clayton King was shot in a car in Acton Lane. It was thought that he had been shot in revenge for the murder of Adrian Roberts which is also unsolved.

Adrian Roberts - Greenhill Road, Harlesden, Northwest London: Adrian Roberts was shot in a bail hostel. He had been visiting a friend in a bail hostel in Greenhill Road, Harlesden when four men came in to steal drugs and money. He was forced to lie face down on a bed and was then shot twice in the back.

Laverne Forbes and Patrick Smith - Kessock Close, Ferry Lane Estate, Tottenham: Laverne Forbes and Patrick Smith were killed in front of their 7-year-old daughter at their flat on 25 May 1999. They lived in a flat in Kessock Close on the Ferry Lane Estate in Tottenham and were both shot in the head as they were having their breakfast.

Mary Lazenby - Bethnal Green, East London: Mary Lazenby was beaten to death at her Bethnal Green flat. She was living in sheltered accommodation at the time and suffered a broken spine, jaw, ribs and breastbone after being kicked and stamped on.

Katherine OBrien - 67 The Croft, Runcorn, Cheshire: Katherine O'Brien was found bludgeoned to death at her home on The Croft at 6.30pm 10 May 1999. She had been beaten about the head.

Richard Smith - London: The death of Richard Smith was reported as undetected by the Metropolitan Police in a Freedom of Information request. No other information is known.

Michael Smith - Denton: Michael Smith was found dead in a country road having either been beaten or deliberately run over.

Jill Dando - 29 Gowan Avenue, Fulham, West London: Jill Dando was shot on her doorstep on the morning of 26 April 1999. She had died instantly.

Elizabeth Chau - Ealing Broadway: Elizabeth Chau was last seen on Ealing Broadway after leaving college and has not been seen since. She had just left the Thames Valley University and was soon after seen in CCTV footage at 6pm walking along the Uxbridge Road near the police station. She was said to have been walking along briskly and was never seen again. She had lived in Ealing Broadway and was said to have been yards from her home when she disappeared.

Keith Andrew Balfour - Brockley Railway Station, Lewisham, South-East London: Keith Balfour was shot in his office. He was a ticket agent and was shot in his office in Brixton.

Richard Parkinson - Rex Nightclub, High Street, Stratford, East London: Richard Parkinson was shot in the chest on the night of 11 April 1999 at a nightclub where he was working on the doors. He was a doorman at the Rex nightclub in Stratford and was shot as 2,500 people arrived for a gig by Beenie Man, a Jamaican reggae artist.

Gerald Quigley - Courtfield Road, Newcastle-upon-Tyne: Gerald Quigley went missing in April 1999. He was last seen when he left his house in Courtfield Road, Newcastle that he shared with his girlfriend at about 5pm on 3 April 1999. He was later reported missing to the police on 13 April 1999.

Karl Morris - Sudbury, Suffolk: Karl Morris died in a fight outside a pub. The main suspect was thought to have fled to Thailand, Germany or America.

Maria Wodiantzky - Knightsbridge, West London: Maria Wodianitzky died after she was dragged off a bus in a mugging. She was from Stockholm in Sweden and had been in London for two hours when she was attacked.

Robert Woods - Corbett Grove, Wood Green, North London: Robert Woods was attacked in the communal hallway of some flats in Wood Green. The police were called to the flats shortly before 4pm on 24 March 1999. Robert Woods was pronounced dead at the scene.

Bruce Roger Gapper - Groves Hall Road, Dewsbury Moor: Bruce Roger Gapper vanished on 16 March 1999. The police later launched a murder inquiry in March 2015.

Kevin Palmer - Bishops Waltham: Kevin Palmer went missing after a night out with friends. He had taken a cab ride with two friends with whom it is thought he got into a fight with and was never seen again.

Quemel Rama - Whiteleys Shopping Centre, Bayswater, Central London: Quemel Rama was stabbed in Whiteleys shopping centre in Bayswater. He was a Kosovan refugee and had been living in Hammersmith at the time.

Mervyn Sills - Brixton, London: Mervyn Sills was shot in Brixton in front of 50 witnesses. He was shot at 2.15pm in a busy street in Brixton.

Steven Brown - Kerr Road, Tranent, East Lothian: Steven Brown was beaten and stabbed to death by a large group of people. Three men were initially charged with his murder three days after he was found dead, but they were released due to lack of evidence.

Sheldon Anton Bobb - Saxton Close, Lewisham: Sheldon Bobb was found outside his home in Saxton Close, Lewisham suffering serious head injuries. He was taken to Lewisham Hospital but died later that morning at 3am from internal bleeding and shock.

Gideon Leroy Tsagane - Islip Street, Kentish Town, London: Gideon Tsagane was shot Islip Street, Kentish Town on 25 January 1999. He had been due to give evidence in a murder trial.

Jay Abatan - Oceans Room Nightclub, Morley Street, Brighton: Jay Abatan died after being attacked outside the Oceans Room nightclub in Brighton. He was punched and fell and hit his head on the pavement fracturing his skull and died five days later in hospital.
